Check out some of his videos. Pretty impressive jazz improv for such a young guy

I'm not using a pick now. Mostly my thumb nail and index finger. Makes for a subtler sound.

There are nylon-stringed electric guitars too.

i just have a cheapo Harley Benton, but there's Nylocasters in the USA, and there's others. piezo pickups = typically very brash bright sound, needs some eq and compression or just play very gently and evenly
