Have a good one
It's a been a very weird year and as we approach Brexit proper, I do not regret leaving the UK. I am a European at heart and just wanted to stay that way.
I have some Pecorino cheese, salati crackers, salami piccante and mostarda to look forward to... and two bottles of Tanqueray London gin for 8 Euros each!
Whatever happens, I wish all my friends, all over the World a peaceful few days and a much better New Year.
Here's some fat guy flying over our mountain this evening.

Thanks, Simon. Merry Christmas to all Foro members, and here's to a better 2021. It's already looking up for the U.S., with Trump leaving the White House, although if he resists he may have to be frogmarched out.
Marta and I plan a quiet dinner tonight (Christmas Eve) and tomorrow evening, preceded by a copita of sherry and finished off with a postprandial glass of port with a fire in the fireplace. It doesn't get much better than that.

Howdy y'all - I'm working in the emergency department from 8 AM to 8 PM Dec 24, 25, 26, and 27, so I'll be wrapping up this year with a bang. Stay warm and safe!
Thanks Simon for taking care of the Foro, a way to socialize in a disrupted world.
I second that!! Viva Escribano!! Feliz and prospero!
Indeed; thank you very much Simon for keeping the lights on in this often rowdy and always interesting pub-full of oddball characters and flamenco inspiration!
Happy Holidays to everyone, whatever you may be celebrating!
Yeah man I was thinking of you when I heard about that -- does that make me weird? ;) --
Yeah me too. when I hear Nashville I think of Ramzi. And honkytonk. Hope you didn’t have too many consults this weekend Ramzi but I doubt that was the case!
It's been hectic, my friends, and our medical center buckled because of the explosion. It knocked out the power to the main AT&T building which is where all of our hospitals get their service, so our entire complex has been without phones since Friday 6:30 AM which is proving to be a huge obstacle because we have thousands of beds with folks in them but we can't talk to each other, so coordination of care is super hard. All fax lines are down of course, too, so we can't even talk to external facilities. This just shows how fragile our system is...
I'm still catching up on posts from before christmas...
