We don't know if the guy is depressed or just a disrespectful jerk. My line about a possible case study was a throwaway not meant to be taken seriously. No point in getting your knickers in a twist over it.
Bill, you're missing the point. It has nothing to do with whether your comment referred to this man or anyone else. You don't make that sort of "throwaway" and say that it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. If such a "throwaway" pertained to a close and dear relative of yours, would you tolerate it? Being in the mental health field, I don't appreciate when people poke fun at such conditions even if as a joke. Would you have made the same "throwaway" if this were related to someone with cancer? If not, then why is it different with a mental health condition? It's just the principle, Bill, and not merely this instance of yours.
I did not disrespect anyone. Notice that jof actually agreed that there was interesting material there. For all we knew at the time, the man may have taken permission from the artists regarding posting the more "benign" videos. Regardless, I merely pointed to a channel that is publicly available and that anyone could have accessed. The material being played in the videos consisted of falsetas that are traditional and could have benefited people here with an interest in such stuff.
