I have been trying to meet other flamencos but to no avail, and I find this hard to believe living in New York as we have EVERYTHING here, any ideas? Anyone live in New York or close by?

RE: Flamencos and Flamenco Festival ... (in reply to TGerman)
Hey I know some nice folks in NY. From what I hear, there is a lot of stuff going on, but they don't stick together as a big community. Anyway, there is a singer Alfonso Cid who is very cool, works with a good guitarist named Arturo. On of my favorite guitarists is Roberto Castellon, who probably still has a weekly gig there. I worked with a dancer named Nelida Tirado. Check out the photos December 30: http://www.dcflamenco.com/dcflamenco/friends12242005_142006.shtml#12302005
There is a dance studio called Fazil's that a lot of flamencos hang out at. I met a guitarist there named Carlos Revollar. He gave me his card, not sure if his number is good. 917-689-4028. Hope this helps, sorry I don't have more numbers for you, you will have to search on your own.

Hey Ricardo,
Thanks a lot! That is really helpful, I will definately look into Fazils. I know there are quite a few Spanich restaurants in Manhattan (I live on Long Island) so I'll have to look into those as well. Do you play in New York often? Will you be here for any of the shows during the flamenco festival? Let me know when you're here, I'd definately like to come see you play!

I don't really go up to NY much. The photos are from here in DC. Alot going on here. We bring those people down here for stuff. Train is pretty easy. Also, all those folks coming from Spain for the festival are coming here too, so no need to take the trip. Take care amigo.
