if i'm being honest, a 5 hr masterclass with any flamenco teacher which usually runs in around 200euro is pretty good, i've seen private flamenco lessons vary from 15euro up to 85euro per hour. If the material is good and well organised, then i think its worth 200euro. But like everything, quality varies, some flamenco courses ive paid 150euro and got a tonne of video/audio recorded which i can work out in my own time, others ive paid 250euro and got some material but not what i had wanted... again its perspective, but 397euro is a lot of money, likewise with online courses if it goes out of business or the website shuts down thats 397euro gone down the drain, and with this type of marketing strategy this could be the case.

Piwin I understand your concern as I purchased the seven course package. But I think it's unfair to insinuate that the company is, or may be, about to go under. Have a little faith man! I'm sure if they do go under, they will take care of their clients. As to price, if you create something, be it a course, write a book, whatever, you get to set the price. I guess you bought for less than than they charge now. You, and I, were fortunate to get that deal. At least I feel that way. The material is really good. I happen to be a fan of Paco Serrano. I feel fortunate I can access some of what I would have learned had I had the opportunity to study with him. And I am learning the stuff he has in the course and am enjoying it. It's a completely different approach than Encuentro, which of course, is also a great product.

I'm not insinuating anything Mark. It's all out there in the open and all I've done is voice my concerns, not make any claims to know what in fact is the root of all of this. When I saw that they increased their prices that way, I immediately thought that they might be in financial trouble. It's not an uncommon practice if you need cash flow to announce a hike in prices so you get a large amount of purchases just before the announced hike. I may very well be wrong and I sincerely hope that I am, but that's where my mind went. And it doesn't help at all that no explanation was given for the increase in price, so we're left with sheer speculation. If we'd been told, oh I dunno, something like "we need investments for X or Y to expand our business so we're upping the price", or anything at all really, even that would have set my mind at ease. Sorry but a 7-fold increase with no rationale provided raises a bunch of red flags for me and I'm certainly not reassured when I get PMed and the company suggests I stop making public comments about them because it's "not very useful" to them. Now I'm even more concerned because I simply asked what the plan was if ever they did go under, even if it's 100 years down the line. And I can only note, and regret, that apparently they have no plan at all, or at least nothing they're willing to share with their customers. Remember that time you were in a contractual relation with someone and you asked a straightforward question and he avoided the question but did add a heart emoji? ffs... Dunno man, a pro in my mind would have answered that they were doing fine, had not yet considered that contingency but would now work on laying out an appropriate solution for that contingency if it was of concern to their customers. Something like that. Apparently what I bought from them is fully dependent on contingencies and their goodwill and ability to wing it if ever the worst does happen. Anyways, I'm not going to drag this out as I've voiced my concerns and they've chosen not to address them. I think I'll stick with DVDs, books and other formats that are not platform-dependent from now on. Final review and that's the last I'll be posting about this: content: 5/5 accessibility: 3/5 customer relations: 1/5 pricing: 0/5 Do not recommend.
