hello -- and returning to flamenco

Greetings all! looking forward to participating on this foro... i joined up a couple of years a go when i had a brief rekindling with flamenco, though that time it didnt stick, and i went in other directions. Feeling the flamenco itch again, -- i think once its in you it never goes away -- so here i am :) i had an intense relationship with flamenco in the 90s,...my main work was applying free improvisation and free jazz approaches within a pre-Paco De Lucia flamenco vocabulary. Purists did hate me :) Did some cds and tours with that in Europe but have explored other areas for the past 10 or so years. ..mainly going back to electric guitar (fretted and fretless)and oud. I also did a stint with Indian sarod for a few years too, but my tinnitus and the sympathetic strings ultimately didnt match as i got older. Funny , i can play electric guitar loud all day and it wont bother me as much as those drone strings! Lately though, I've been inspired to bring back the flamenco element, though I'm without a flamenco guitar for many years as well. I had some nice ones over the years - my favorite sounding was a Conde, but the intonation on it was off and saddle and nut variations didnt bring it in. Looking for something budget to get my flamenco technique back in order and see if my interest sticks, then look into a good instrument later on. Tsiorba's instruments are looking very appealing down the road! thats my story -- looking forward to relearning from all of you!
