It would not surprise me at all if someone showed up on this site without knowledge of Paco's latest album.

Have to listen to it more but it ain't great, thats for sure. Sounds like stuff for the radio.. short songs, some cheesy.. nothing spectacular.

That sucks, Juan's is super good. I'm pretty sure these record companies force them to write cheesy radio friendly crap.

That was my initial impression too, but I think I will continue to listen to it until I like it. That is what I always do with stuff that I don't always get super-hooked to from the first few minutes.

The farruca is awesome though, and I think that is why he posted it on his YouTube channel.

Here goes another "is it me or"...

...the super trebly, almost steel string sound is becoming a trend? The gay reverb was already boring, now this anti-wood guitar sound makes me wonder why should anyone bother about which guitar to use for recording when it all ends up sounding like annoying crap.

I enjoy everything Rafael has recorded thus far. And am not disappointed by this either.

However, there are a few unexpected, rather odd tracks, in this last effort, such as Soledad. This is a song, really simply a proper pop song, although played and sang beautifully. And I confess I can't stop listening to it.

Incidentally, the Album is available on Spotify (I found it under Rafael Cortes, while the word Cagiñí yielded no results)

Did you try leaving off the diacritics? Some sites (including Amazon until relatively recently, and the detritus is still there) can’t handle accented characters.
