Screw this piece of ***t world. Can't stand it. I'm not sure why I am sharing my stuff on youtube. I guess we have to leave something before moving on to the next phase. Here is a little intro and improv that I 've been playing around with from the melody "Dark Eyes" and part of"Two Guitars" on my cheap Yamaha... My apologies to Simon if my words are a bit silly. I''ve just been a bit frustrated with myself lately.

I'm not gunna quote your opening sentence in case you choose to change but I feel the same A LOT. I'll tell you this though, if I had even half the talent you did I'd have that feeling much less. On the flip side, that video is maybe the most emotional sounding, impacting things you've ever posted, so maybe there's something to having those feelings and expressing them via guitar. I love what you do Juan and you inspire a lot of people more then you think.

I liked it, Juan. The only thing that kills me about some of your videos is the TV in the background. Seriously! You're a good player, and the music you're able to play deserves more respect than it gets from those piece of ***t commercials.

Very nice indeed! That´s a beatifull piece and you play it great. When you feel like ****, nothing better than a little get together friends and play some music. I agree about the TV in the background... your playing deserves better!

That was beautiful as always.
Juan, we all feel frustrated and down at times. I have that very often. Nothing better to do than playing guitar and spending time with friends. Talk to people. Read a nice book, too. Or watch a nice movie. Don't dwell on your frustration.
By sharing your music you make the world a better place. Keep those videos coming!
One more thing... Please turn that TV off! There is nothing for the soul there, just ads and superficial, unimportant stuff.

Hey Juan, I watch all of the videos you post though I don't always comment. Some people choose to share their music because they believe it is an expression of who they are as human beings. And if your playing is a reflection of yourself as a person -- this arrangement in particular -- then that's reason enough to keep on going in life. And that's high praise coming from a Russian. :)
Keep doing the things you enjoy in life and reach out to friends, or professional help if need be (f*** the stigma -- everyone needs someone to talk to). And know that you've got a lot of fans all around the world thanks in part to the Foro!

JG, you have an invaluable gift. I have learned so much from your videos, and I am embarrassed now to realize I haven't said thank you, nor paid you the proper compliments, or any compensation. Your videos speak of your talent, and your posts of your amiable, kind and generous personality. You are a true gentleman, JG, as I am sure your parents wanted you to become, and could only hope a son would turn out.
I always repeat my metaphor about pearls, one of the most miraculous gems nature gives, are forged through a slow and painful process, as mother-of-pearl reacts to the frustration of some hostility threatening her peace. And you are indeed a pearl, but too humble to see it.
If I may offer a word of practical advice, instead of posting videos randomly, set up some goals for your talent, so that you may then appreciate your accomplishment. Perhaps, organize your work for a home-brewed album, or a series of planned tutorials for the lost players, like me.
Whatever you do, don't dwell on the debris of what you lost. Roll up your sleeves and get dirty building what your heart desires, and haven't had the courage to pursue, yet.

Thanks for all the support guys. I sincerely appreciate it. I'm doing fine I suppose. Sorry for my rant... There are times when you just feel like typing what you feel at the moment. Thanks for the advice Grisha. The best thing to do really is just pick up the guitar and play like he said. It's always there for you.

Hey Juan thanks for getting back to us.
You have quietly became one of the corner stones of this place.
And Grisha's advice is great.
I remember a long time ago leaving the home I shared with my then girlfriend with nothing but the clothes I was wearing and my guitar. I sat on the couch at a friends house whilst the family slept and I thought 'It's just you and me now old buddy'.
Of course it wasn't true. A guitar makes a good life raft but sooner or later the coastgaurd come along and our journey begins again.

Oh boy, that brings some good old memories, GB.
Had the same experience; all I took was a pair of Levi's, my dear old guitar, my bible (a first edition of Churchill's "History of the English Speaking Peoples"), along with -for better or worse- two packs of cigs... I never felt alone, also because I am plenty of company to my 'lunatic' self.

You cant be an artist without knowing pain....I used to think that the old flamencos made a big deal out of comparing pain and suffering with art. As a younger man I thought that was all rubbish and justified a lot of personal failure to call ones self an artist.
Juan you really express a bitter sweetness in your playing, a sadness and optimism at the same time....and that to me is the spirit of flamenco music. To quote an old road movie "crossroads" Willie brown says "the blues aint nothin but a good man feelin´bad" I think thats what we in flamenco can do, express good in bad, sweetness in sadness. I know the guitar has literally saved my life in the past and thats why we carry on. You are an artist....viva el arte!!!

feeling a bit like that right now actually. had a few shi!!y events happen today.
constantly are the people trying to drag me down, underestimating me and my guitar playing abilities....just because i don't look and act like i know what i'm doing. The way society is...they'll treat you better if you look and act like a douche bag with loads of confidence. For me, that's one half of my dark side, the other half is constant rejection by girls. Society really wants to turn me into a douche. I've been so resistant, i can't fathom becoming that person; but i might have to, to survive. I wouldn't respect myself anymore though if i did that. The other thing that pisses me off is the world majority of people aren't educated, but especially not educated about music.
Anyways, i'll go to the gym tonight and calm down. Your playing was really great, and don't forget you're not alone, even if our sh!! experiences are different.

Juan, I don't post much here as I am quiet by nature, We all have terrible days and I pick up my guitar and go to my shed and play. You are a great inspiration to me. That is a way beautiful piece, and I enjoy your posts. You are so talented, If I could play that well, I would be happier. just because your music so makes me. I always look forward to you playing.

really nice, juan, really nice ........your yamaha sound a lot better than mine ....or is it the player that makes the sound? .....probably ...love all the picado flurries ...nice change of pace for here as well ...
