found the old movie with valderrama that features paco's music....mostly tracks from his duet albums with modrego, but also some re recorded solo guitar and accompaniments for the on screen dancers. I couldn't find any cameo shots of Paco himself in the film.

Among the 7"singles by Fosforito we had one listed with Juan Carmona, Juan Maya Marote and Paco de Lucia. This is because only the side B track has Paco and the side A track has the other three guitarists. Both BELTER 01.119 and BELTER 07.993 were produced this way.

We already have "Los Hijos de Luzia" listed but I incorrectly called it a 3CD compilation. Its actually a single CD containing the tracks from 3 Pepe de Lucia albums.
Tracks 1-7 are from the album "Caminando".
Tracks 8-16 are from album "Pepe de Lucia and Paco de Lucia"
Tracks 17-20 are from the Pepe de Algeciras 1966 EP

All 3 of these above recordings are now very difficult to obtain so this CD is a great addition to anyones Paco de Lucia collection.

We already have the LP of El Lebrijano con Paco listed. Its another hard recording to find but the CD is easily available.

Very little new to report this week. I found good copies of the 7" single "Como El Agua" and the 7” EP from 1970 PHILIPS 62 24 013 by Camaron de la Isla which we already have listed.

I found a great copy in almost mint condition of 12 Canciones de Garcia Lorca from 1965. I cant say anything new about the tracks but the album cover itself is a gatefold with an 8 page booklet inside which you will not have seen if you only have the CD. Strangely the guitarists are not mentioned on the original front cover.

They are finally mentioned on the back.
Arrangements are credited to Vigaray/ Sanchez/ Torregrosa.
Perhaps Ricardo can tell us about the Torregrosa connection?

I found an unlisted 32 track compilation CD featuring various artists. It has the "Soleares popular" track 10 by Paco. It also has the fake version of "Entre dos Aguas" that we identified way back on page 1 of this thread.

This time the track is actually credited to Rafael Cañizares as the guitarist.

This next LP is an unlisted compilation of themes from Movies. It contains tracks such as Cavatina from the Deerhunter, the Romanza Anonima and the Harry Lyme theme from the Third Man. It also has the Pacos Tema de Amor from" la Sabina".

Here is another LP in The Belter "Antologia de Cante" series. I really like some of the album covers in this series and this one is particularly striking. It contains the tracks "Compañera mia" by Fosforito and Paco and "Puertecita no Tengo" by Niña de la Puebla.

Finally for this week another unlisted LP by Naranjito de Triana. Its a "best of" album and contains 4 tracks with acompaniment by Paco de Lucia. The great thing about this album is that on the back is a complete discography for Naranjito de Triana listing all his EPs and LPs and providing all the track list information and guitarists on each recording. From this we now know that we have collated all the tracks with Naranjito de Triana and Paco and can complete this part of the Discography as follows.

Only a couple of new additions this week. First is a CD single that caused me a bit of confusion. Its the Single of "Oceano" by Brazilian singer Djavan. However the original song was released in 1989 and sung in Portuguese. The original video from 1989 is below (Pacos solo starts around 2.20)

This CD single is from 1994. Its the same backing track but now sung in Spanish.

We listed "Estas haciendo que me Duela" by Fosforito as a 7" single. BELTER 52.193
It turns out to be another 4 track EP with all tracks accompanied by Paco. I am genuinely hopeful that this now ties up all the loose ends in the Fosforito section.

Finally for this week I found an Argentinian Edition of LatinoAmericano Vol.1. Its from 1982 and it has exactly the same track listing as Paco de Lucía y Ramón de Algeciras en Hispanoamérica from 1969 and also the Mexican version of Hispanoamerica (Vol.1)

Its true that most of the re-released discs with Paco and Ramon only feature Paco on the cover. I think I mentioned earlier though that for every track with Paco accompanying, I found at least two with Ramon. His output was also superhumanly prolific. Maybe you should compile Ramons discography??

As far as I can find out, this makes a total of 8 singles and 9 EPs featuring Fosforito and Paco. Here is the complete set.
It would seem that only 4 official photos were needed to produce all the covers

Way back last year on page 1 Paul Magnussen posted an Amazon link to MP3 downloads of "Los Mejores Guitarras". The original recording was surprisingly hard to track down. Here is the cover to the LP. The surprise here is that the "Entre dos Aguas" track is credited to Andrés Batista as guitarist. I compared this version to the one on Guitarra flamenca vol 1. and it is identical.
I also compared it to the one credited to Rafael Cañizares and its the same track. So who recorded this version? Was it Andrés Batista or Rafael Cañizares? Either way its pretty painful to listen to if you are very familiar with Pacos Classic version.

This next recording is another compilation LP but this time I consider it to be a significant find. Its a 12 track recording of cante and guitar by Antonio "El Camborio", "El Tupe" and "Niña de Brenes". All 12 tracks accompanied by Paco de Algeciras or dual guitars of Paco and Ricardo (Vigaray) Modrego.

All 3 EPs are hard to find but the Niña de Brenes is especially difficult and I have not even been able to track down a photo of the cover, so i am pleased that I now have a vinyl recording of all 4 tracks from this illusive recording. Its in perfect condition and sounds great.

Here is another unlisted compilation. Its actually a very nice double CD set of guitar recordings by Paco de Lucia, Andres Segovia, John Williams, Norbert Kraft, Carlos Bonell etc.
In Volume 1 Paco plays "Cancion de Fuego Fatuo" and "Zorongo Gitano"
In Volume 2 Paco plays "Danza ritual del Fuego", "Danza de la Molinera" and "El Vito" All the covers and CDs themselves have Pacos photo on them.
