J Fernandez? 
I have an old peghead, with no label , just a stamp inside with the following;

J Fernandez
Jesus y Maria 5 (or S?)
VALENCIA

Can anyone shed any light. Do you know of this maker?
Any information would be useful.
I'm intending to restore it.

I couldn't find any information about a maker named J. Fernandez working in Valencia in any of my reference sources.
That's not to say he didn't exist but more likely it's an old factory guitar with the stamp of a dealer named J. Fernandez. That's a fairly common scenario with old Valencian guitars.

It''s an interesting coincidence that Arcangel Fernandez' shop was also on a street called Jesus y Maria but in Madrid, not Valencia.

Here is another one.
Yes there is a Calle Jesus y Maria in Valencia. Number 5 is now a dental workshop I think.

The price seems very high, but its much better condition than mine.
I can see the same stamp inside and its made from the same materials, similar appearance.

The price is in Argentinian Pesos I think, which would make it about £600.
