RE: Pain in right shoulder (in reply to Guest)

Hey Lionel, I've had some similar problems too. In fact more than once, unfortunately. I think you should go to the doctor right away, because it will do you no good waiting one more week. You already have that problem for two weeks, so it doesn't look like it's going to cure by itself. However, I don't really believe a doctor will help you much because all they will do to you is prescibe pain killers and anti-inflammatories. They will also do an x-ray, but since you didn't hit anything with your shoulder everything should be alright. But you should go to the doctor nevertheless, just to be sure. Sometimes it can be a small benign tumor that's causing you the pain. A friend of mine had one of those this Summer and had it removed, nothing serious. What I really recommend you to do, after seeing a normal doctor, is going to a chiropractor. I had a serious lower back problem caused by a stupid jump when I was 16 and I could barely walk. I entered the chiropractor's office with the help of my mother and got out walking again by my own two feet. I also had a similar pain to yours on my right shoulder, mainly caused by bad posture and a few punches, that was again treated by a chiropractor. Last month I hurt my left hand, guess who treated me again. Just be careful with the chiropractor you choose, some of them are not very able and can be dangerous sometimes. Ask people you know for opinions and recomendations on one. If they know what they are doing and fix people, they will have a good reputation. Be patience with that.

In the meantime, and regularly for the rest of your life, I would suggest (I am no doctor or expert) that you stretch and exercise (strength building core, shoulders, arms, and the whole body while you are at it). Bringing workouts back in my life has made wonders, I lose one hour of practice but I can sleep at night and don't hurt! Start with just streching for starters to see if it makes a difference, 10 minutes morning and 10 minutes before going to bed. Do it while watching tv if you do that....you might see progess within one week. Chances are it won't go away if you don't change anything, I think pain is normally a message from the body to do so, or, getting a phone call from your ex.
