Wipe the guitar dry with a soft cloth after you play.
Does the fabric of the cloth matter, apart from the softness requirement?
Something soft that won't catch on tuners and and fret ends etc. A piece of soft cotton, some guitar shop sell a yellow cotton cloth, those are good, but swatch of clean decommissioned tee- shirt is fine. And pop it in the washer once in a while.
Apologies all around for going on about this, I should have just left it alone.

Remove strings spray funiture polish on the fret board clean with old toothbrush (this gets along the side of the frets) dont use your current toothbrush polish guitar check for cracks or blemishes or dings like when you dropped that can of lager on it. Cruzcampo is guaranteed to eat your fingerboard and ruin your guitar: only English football holligans on a drunken visit and poorly educated Andaluces drink it, cos its cheeep.
Use something decent, such as Estrella Galicia, Alhambra or Guinness

If there exists a worse whisky tha DYC, I have yet to know it. When I buy a litre of great amontillado from the barril. I ask for it in a bottle of DYC, as a joke.
