hahaha ...no thats what i mean, i just go there and dry hump and make out with girls ...i like being watched ...i don't just like disappointing one person anymore, a man's got to have a dream.... i wanna disappoint 3000 in one go
RE: So excited performing here in a ... (in reply to Florian)
btw you tight MOFS !! it wont kill you to congratulate me jk. ...but I am certainly proud of it ..ive known for a year but its finally starting to sink in that it used to be a phantasy of mine every time i saw a show there or drove past...always daydreaming ...hmm one day
being part of this forum over the years I think has certainly helped me a lot in getting this type opportunity, i honestly don't think i would have ever gotten to play there if i wasent...forces anyone to try and be better and try harder than what they were when they came .......but u already know...u got to take advantage of it by getting involved, uploading and getting advice from the amazing experience available to you
RE: So excited performing here in a ... (in reply to Florian)
Wow! That's really something Flo!!!
You'll be great. Trust me.
Remember, you're not playing for 3000 people....
You're only playing for one person there.
They are not aware of the other 2999....
Think of any concert you've ever seen...were you caught up in the artist performing?....or were you thinking about the person 3 rows in front of you and 6 seats to the right?

Well give us a chance man...some of us have been asleep on the other side of the planet
That is an amazing looking gig. The good news is that until the house lights go up at the end you wont really be aware of the second and third floors of seating. I've never played in a theatre that big before so I would be sweating buckets an hour before the show. What a great opportunity and many congratulations on all your hard work. Lets hope you dont have to follow Nuñez or Vicente or someone like that because those situations really are the most nervewracking!!

no but just as aware of the pressure, i play before Jason M.
he eats through his guitars lol hes a monster, not just a great player but plays with such volume and dynamics that u need to go extra too otherwise you look really week, and i don't wanna look week in...
theres a LOT of other guitarists id be less intimidated by...even skilled from Spain but that don't play with this kind of volumes...if i gotten to share the night with the flamenco guitarist they had 2 years before Oscar Guzman i would have been way less nervous..he played so soft

But Flo, that was my way of congratulating you ... Aussie style Really, good onya mate. You'll be fine, you're a great player and you got good tips from Simon, Pim and Ron; when you're on stage blinded by the lights you won't know how big the place is anyway. But there will be that many more groupies.
Just make sure to work on your warm-up licks for the green room interview.

He plays what he plays his way, and you play what you play your way; that's why you're both on the programme.

Amazing looking venue. From the outside it makes me think of some kind of Star Wars transport ship. Or maybe I'm just a Star Wars geek. Could be both. I hope the acoustics are as good as it looks.
BTW making out in the theatre when you don't have a private balcony is just showing off. Making out when you do have a private balcony is really showing off. Aim high.

the fact that you saying it scares me even more

...and this is coming from a guy who had to follow Nuñez on stage!! Ok, well its good you are going on first. I had to follow Juan Habichuela (Nieto)with a solo last year and that was pretty terrifying so I'm sure you will be great!
Theaters are easier than outdoor gigs because you are dazzled by the stage light. I did a couple of world music festivals some years ago and those big stages with seas of people in front of you really get your heart going. Whats the gig? Are you playing a solo or accompanying? Definitely having others on stage makes the whole thing 10 times easier.

both...
Jason is an amazing guitarist, its an absolute honor...hes got his own story to tell so do I. I have put together a great show, a great company of dancers and singers too, great flamenco....same with Jason...
might even have another singer from Spain join me but i don't wanna say until i know for sure
if i chose to think about it like Jason vs Flo it can be worrying, i mean lets face it lol its freaking Jason .... but if i chose to think about the flamenco night we gonna create together in this theater its exciting

damn, dude. congratulations!
don't sweat it. just go kick some ass! the only thing different about this show from all the other ones is that you're just kicking more asses per note and in a really super fancy theater. no big deal.
