Scott, It sounds almost identical to my Tsiorba 2010 maple and spruce. The difference you were describing in your comparison of guitars is not just brightness, but clarity and separation of notes as well as response. The orange guitar sounds good but is murky compared to the Tsiorba. It also lacks the response that I hear in your Tsiorba.

wow....I joined yesterday looking for info as I'm struggling with my first arpeggios on my $90 Lucida. Looks like I stumbled into this forum just in time. I'm mezmerized by this guitar like I was with that first Kathy Ireland photo I found back in '92....
