I have no idea what this is, I took pictures of it, those were the best pictures I was able to take since lots of people were around it, trying to figure out what it is.nobody knows where it came from, it was just there on the floor
what do you think this is? what device does it come from? I have never seen this thing before in anything, have you???
by examining it, theres a big motor, and the thing seem to go back and forth and has cams on it.
any ideas or any clues will help and your help is appreciated. thanks!

its either the caesar 2000
or the caligula platinum
sorry kudo couldnt resist ...are you any closer to finding out what it is ? my best guess something to do with possibly those racing mini carts ? or a gym, whats in the neighborhood that you found it in, mechanic, gym ? amusement park ? some type of repair shop..really ive no idea just "a stab in the dark" sort of speak...if you really need to know search in google images ...type in anything motorized you can think of...eventually you will see something like it

My guess is it opens a hatch in the ceiling oe floor. The threaded shaft pushes and pulls one end and the whole contraption is under something heavy that slides. The cam rollers allow the hatch to travel along them without binding.
