One of the BEST videos by any of the foro members, I would say. I REALLY thought that was your original hair there, before I knew you for real. I believe I saw that video when I was just an infant around these parts.

Ron, I think you posted in a wrong place.
Bulerias with wig videos are supposed to be in the Audio and video uploads section.

RE: A new headstock design (in reply to Anders Eliasson

Hey Anders....

I cooked spare ribs tonight and my wife was so upset that they came from baby pigs.

"Well, better scoffing them than letting them rot", I said...

She said "I know....but it's so sad...."

I said "You sound like Anders, who is going vegetarian in the hope that all the cows, pigs and chickens will be able to roam over the countryside in peace and freedom.... but without folk eating meat...the farmers ain't gonna keep them as pets..."

She thought about it for awhile and said, "Isn't Anders the guy who made your guitar?"

I said "Yeah...the very one..."

So she says, "So how does he feel about cutting down living trees for wood to make his guitars?"

I could not think of an answer...

(Anyhoo, when Titania comes along, I won't have to worry about such philosophical questions I'm sure. )

cheers,

Ron

Reply to your wife.

I dont mind so much that we kill animals, but I dont like the way we produce them and the horrible life the animals have just in order to fill our fat stomach. I dont mind people (and myself) eating meat, but I dont like the amount we eat and that other living creatures have to suffer the way they do.

I´ve been to pigfarms, seing how piglets were only allowed to touch their mom through a fence. I´ve been to chicken farms where ten thousands of chickens were living in a closed space. There werent even enough space for them all to stand. Its the worst smell that I´ve smelled. I could continue....... And I have a dream.

This just reminded me when i was at a meat production facility, the cows were crowding the place and were cowered in feces and looked sick and tired, with hair free spots.

The meat doesnt even taste good from that kind of production, and they are mass producing those poor animals for a product thats not even worthy of being called real meat.

Happy meat tastes so much better

Finally someone understands me.
The problem is that most people need to fill their fat belly with at least 250 grams of meat every day in order to feel satisfied. So if we were to produce happy meat for all of them, we would have happy animals running around everywhere. There will be som many of them that it would be scary. Denmark is inhabitet by 5 million persons and 10 million pigs. To this you add all the happy cows we would have, all the happy chickens, lambs etc.... What a circus.

The world is turning into a circus anyway I think, atleast in many respects.

And when it comes to food, meat used to be something special, in old times, not too far back there was only meat once a week, on saturday, then you would use the left overs to make cold cuts to have on your bread or to have beside the daily dinner of porrige together with sardines or herring.

but these days, we live in an instant society, so everything needs to be instant, or its no good, i saw on the store that you can actually buy precooked ground beef now

the biggest problem is that they make these products in excessive amounts though, i think 1/4 or 1/3 of all the meat is ending up in the bin/=

I miss when i was a kid and we would only have meat from our local farmer, it was also just once or twice a week, so it tasted extra good

RE: A new headstock design (in reply to odinz

I'm not so far from how Anders thinks, (but I like to kid him on I'm not.)

I'm just generally cynical about things and it has served me well in general.

I've just finished listening to a programme about micro-financing in rural India.

The Western image is that some poor housewife with a family of 8 buys a sewing machine on a micro loan and starts a small business.

In time she sees a profit and is able to feed and buy shoes for her children and has enough money to send them to school to give them a start in life..

The REALITY (from an Indian banker himself) is that they use their first small loan to pay for furniture or to feed the habit of an alcoholic husband.

They then get a second, bigger loan from another company and use the money to buy a colour TV set.

The third loan (from yet another company) is then used to pay off the first loan and so on...

As the guy said.. "I'm sure the West knows what I'm talking about when I say 'Sub-Prime Mortgages'...well, it's the same story here, only on a smaller scale".

Having travelled half the world myself, I am disinclined to swallow the old Western-fed saw, that "Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day....Give a man a fishing rod and you'll feed him for life."

Truth is in many cases IMO..."Give a man a fishing rod and he'll say 'Wow that looks expensive'...and sell it for $30 and buy liquor and a great night with a local whore with big tits"....

Sorry for being honest and cynical here...

Anyway, to move on...some American guy said that the world was going to end today at 6 o'clock tea time.

This was from the Word of The Lord. (so it was an insider tip, I guess..)

The bastard absolutely F'ing GUARANTEED it!

It was even on the Net and the BBC World Service!

So how do I go about making a claim against his prediction business now I've sold up everything and sitting on a mountaintop?

Sh1tbag spammer spaz....

cheers,

Ron

No, Ron, it was the Rapture yesterday, where all those who were Saved were taken up to heaven. The End of the World is scheduled for October, for the benefit of us remaining sinners.

Strangely, no one among my acquaintance seems to be missing, though I wouldn't mind if one or two had gone on. Must be the company I keep.
