To Thomas Whitely: I agree with you: Queen of the Gypsies tops them all! Years ago my LP was seriously overplayed & beginning to sound bad. I made a cassette recording, but an acquaintance discarded it! Do you know where I can get a CD of that magnificent performance?

Does this ever bring back memories....I saw Sabicas in Denver, Colorado back in the 1970's. I can't remember what guitar he used, probably his Manuel Reyes. I was amazed at his speed, but yet retaining the soul of flamenco. I had all his LP's out at that time and finally sold them last year on ebay. Juan Serreno was a young guy then and living in Chicago...I think and Cordoba was in San Francisco. Anyone remember Carlos Montoya from those days and then appeared Manitis de Plata with his guitar/art gallery. Sabicas is my all time favorite player, but my flamenco hero is Diego del Gastor......
