RE: Hey let's all just replicate Pac... (in reply to Rain)
Ok sure Ron. I will make a video. Tomorrow.
Seriously, as soon as im healthy we can do this (a piece of my choice that is). But until then, anybody can make a video anytime, to show how far he is in terms of guitar even if its not tomorrow

Its funny that people from the classical side state something like that. ^^ Coz they are mainly warming up dusty material instead of renewing their (well not really their) art very rapidly as flamenco does.
I saw modern classic compositions but they were abstract like the art of the famous sculptors who **** in a room and tell you thats art. Yeah..maybe art but not enjoyable art. Flamenco is very different in renewing itself. In a much more enjoyable way I would say. With some exceptions of course.
That's because flamenco isn't written on paper, therefore it can breath and evolve. The guitarist adopts and plays with full flexibility.

Man, I'm getting over tendinitis which put me out close to a year, you have what looks like a papercut, how long is that going to take to heal till? Im guessing till everyone forgets about my proposed challenge. Or do you want to come back in 6 months with a suggested piece that you have studied from now till then.
RE: Hey let's all just replicate Pac... (in reply to Rain)
Rain, you are a dumb piece of ****. I have this problem since almost one year. Health is not something to make jokes about, you idiot. Youre not even close to funny Rain.

how does Guajiras de Lucia sound I always wanted learn that piece and you would be giving me the reason to finally sit down and learn it and you could see me upload something not tomorrow but in a month.
and how do we know that you have not studied Guajiras de Lucia since the past 5 years?
now joking aside,,,,,this d!ck length challenge is all really getting childish.
RE: Hey let's all just replicate Pac... (in reply to XXX)
Stop behaving like a punk Deniz, just take up the challenge, and stop the name calling its a bit childish. And If you're going to be a funny bully at least have something to back up your little self.

i have another suggestion.
no one should upload a video, except those who complained about others in one or other way.
I don't understand what your proposing Arash, and I don't believe I have ever not behaved like a gentlemen on this forum except in this case with Deniz. I'm sorry but I found Deniz's remark towards guitarrista to be cold and hurtful and I'm one who hates people who make jokes at others expense.

Deniz remark towards guitarrista?
i think it was the friendliest comment in this thread towards him.
what was cold and hurtful about it ?
that he prefers the guys from el entri school? that was not a joke. you know jesus de rosario for instance ? or others ? they are "our" favourites (beside paco)

if there was something cold and hurtful in this thread, then the fact that all recordings and all the work of young guitar players were narrowed as cheap copies of paco. i mean what if jeronimo maya would be here in the foro or diego del morao. they are all "young" and more or less in that age which guitarrista mentioned. and not only that, but those comments about gerardo and vicente, etc......
i think the most hurtful think you can do to a musician is to do down his composition and musical work.
RE: Hey let's all just replicate Pac... (in reply to Arash)
But will you make a video tomorrow?
Was originally posted as a stab at guitarrista and then to me.
And like I stated earlier I dont find humor in that. And I believe my proposed challenge is more than fairway to shut Deniz up.
Look just because I have yet to upload something does not mean I don't have the right to comment and that I can't play. But I do understand that maybe comments are more relevant if I can back my playing up and that it's at a respectable level. That is the gist of my proposel, I'm basically saying to Deniz you know what I heard you play and I believe your level of playing is at the same level as your jokes.

Anyway Rain, can you just upload something...anything...just so we can hear where you are coming from?
We will be getting guitarristas vids at the end of the week hopefully.
And this will save all the speculative discussion, or at least give a better perspective on it.
cheers,
Ron
Ron, I understand your need for me to upload something as it will give you a better perspective on my playing. Now I feel like I have to, no matter if Deniz wants to take up my challenge or not and I find something wrong with that.
If it is that important to you Ron, I will start the El Tempul that you suggested and will upload it in a month from now.

If it helps you, i can confirm that i honestly think my playing is the same level like your sense of humor. Im unhappy with all recordings i have ever made until now.
The comment with the video that will be done tomorrow was not against somebody in person. It was made in a situation where 5 people proposed to make videos (some of them as jokes), so i thought i join this little group with a running gag. If anything i was messing with Flo, whom i know he can take it with a tongue in cheek afterwards he thought i was making purely jokes, but i was just half joking.
RE: Hey let's all just replicate Pac... (in reply to Rain)
Ron, how about Rio de Miel instead and we could save El Tempul for when ever Deniz wants to take up my challenge.
Rio de Miel has become my favorite modern buleria and a piece that I would love to be able to play. It will be the first flamenco piece that I have ever learned. And I will upload hopefully all of it or a substantial bit of it in a month, or risk making a fool of myself on this forum.

Sounds good to me Rain!
I promise this forum will not be sitting like a pack of wolves, although sometimes things get silly and it seems that way.
Just upload a few falsetas even.
Breaking the ice is the best way to get fully involved IMO.

Guitarrista, Maybe you are searching for something other than Flamenco? You seem fed up with the current Flamenco scene, which I personally think is very good right now. Your compositions bear no resemblance to Flamenco. Maybe it's just not the genre for you? With the type of all-or-nothing goals you talk about, I can see why you would want to give up, especially when you think about the thousands of incredibly dedicated players in Spain that play on an amazing level. It takes a LOT to be the better than the best.
I don't think anybody here or anywhere else wants to be or sound exactly like Paco. But we are all influenced by the music we like, and a lot of people like his music. Personally I think there is really a plethora of players right now that are taking some ideas from Paco and others and are pushing them further in their own style.
