I do remember CANTE being a rarely visited term around here with the exception of Sean and Norman... forgive me if I left out anyone.... I am very happy that it has become an exciting and VERY active part of this place thats absoluteley correct u have made a humangus contribution to that and to this place..we absoluteley love having u here man, you are an inspiration to many of us...and very much to me personally, and i would be heartbroken if you left I hate to say that i told you so but i told you so..nothing but bad things can come from that type of list and it can only get worst and will not achive what you hope it will...yeah some people will agree, some will say I support you Jason!! but in the end everyones gonna back out and youl be left by yourself with your name up there and people will grow tired of hearing it etc..and then you will get alot of people that will hold grudjes and try to attack you.. Whats changed since the list ? has it affected anything besides give the guys on the list's websites more hitts ? and given you more hatemail and threats and enemies ? this is not that i dont support your right to speak your mind cause i do and its not that i think you wrong cause u not even if i wouldnt exactly use the same technique myself.. is just that i dont wana see you go trough all the hate mail and the insults and the negative vibe and the dissapointment of realizing that its not as personal for us as it seems to be for you (and u might have valid reasons and thats fine)...and i am sorry, i agree with you for the first 5 minutes but after that i dont care...i move on whatever happens my feelings will never change i will always look up to you but bottom line man some people were insulted by the list ( weather you or I think they had the right to or not, weather you or they are wrong or not) and ofcourse they going to try to insult you and hurt you...and admins have the job of keeping this place neutural at all times, so you cant blame em, they've done it to ricardo they've done it to me they've done it to everyone.. I could eazely tell you what you wanna hear if that will make me a better friend to you.. ever since we made up i feel even closer to you and would do my best to advice my honest opnion on what i think its in your interest ( to the best of my limited abilities.)..i dont care about the list or people on the list ...just your interest as a mate i promiss you anyone new logs on and insults you out of the blue and for no reason you wont even have time to see it cause either admin or us will be allover it i think you reacted and acted as well as you could have been expected to under the circumstances and the insults and heat man.... there was a time when i was in the midlle of it and u were the voice of reason ...even tho i reacted badly to it lol...hopefully youl do one better and yes its unfair but the better u are the more people look up to you and respect you the more responsibility you have to do one better and be unrealistically polliticaly correct ..atleast on the open forum where everyone can read it...on an average we have 650 guests most times that read the messages...out of wich only about 20 are the members here that we know....think about it...what you say affects the way the whole forum looks and how we are beeing viewed ...and personally i dont wanna be viewd like i have some kind of mission to make some kind of list to cathegorize other musiceans.. everyone wants succes, everyone wants money and everyone will use whatever skills they have or dont have to try and get it...that hasent changed in 100 years flamencos ripp off other genras ...other genras ripp of flamenco...everyone is ripping everyone off, its not one sided and flamenco is as much a victim as the rest are our argument is as valid as the Jazz guys arguing the fact that all this flamencos who did that series Jazzmenco or nino joseles Paz or Pedro Iturralde Jazz Flamenco or Nono Garcia's Atun y chocolate...they might know flamenco but it might be an insult to all this guys who have spent a lifetime studying jazz, living it and breathing it

Back in the heated seventies, a graffiti on a wall in Venice quoted a French philosopher “when conversation turns into confrontation who provokes whom?” Debate stirs advocated opinions and brings light to our single minded views. Inevitably, at times, one’s blunt opinion will offend the principles another holds sacred, or a misunderstanding will ignite hell. We all are gentlemen until our sensitivity is alerted, and then even the most poised and cold blooded barrister will shout impatiently degenerating into an unproductive confrontation. However, without invoking the Geneva Conventions to restrain the barbarity of war, one basic rule reigns supreme, regardless of the harshness of the engagement, “no shooting on the Red Cross”!! [which translates…foro’s administration]. When I first joined the foro, I did by seeking advice on the nature of the music I compose, whether or not I could speak of it as “flamenco”. Florian, whom I now am honored to call “amigo”, offered the warmest reply, with welcoming and kind words, yet sternly uncompromising on the meaning of Flamenco. As ignorant as I remain, I learned so much about Flamenco since those initial exchanges. And while thousand are still unaware infidels, at least this one bastard learned the first 12 beats towards redemption. A long and rough path it is, but I am enjoying it in your lovely company. ForoFlamenco is a wonderful resource, we are fortunate to have and should not take for granted. It is often a delicate and taxing job to maintain it. As I realize it, along with the opulent bounty I thus far received from it, I thank you, Simon and Ron, along with all of you who post for the simple purpose of sharing your own love for flamenco, for making this possible.
