gig was good,...nails havent grown back yet it will be about 1 month till my I nail will grow back to normal cause it broke really deep into the meat.. really weird shape...but i think i have learned my lesson,

i think i am going to go back to using stuff on my nails...maybe just glue..its a shame i loved the way i could feel a litlle through my nails but dosent help me much if i am gonna have to spend half of the playing time without nails

I do that alot... one that comes to mind was made a comment saying all the people who are from a certain area are *(alternative lifestyle)* little did I know there was an individual *(alternative lifestyle)* who clearly took offense the next 20 minutes where extremely awkward, as you may imagine.

Just to clarify I am in no way interested in peoples personal choices, I just seem to have the vocabulary of a 13 year old.

Lesson is read a book and find more subtle ways to insult people

hahaha not to worry mate so do I ...i only mentioned this cause it was funny but really i dont take offence to this kind of things...if i was to take offence everytime someone says something politically incorrect id be walking around beeing upset all day...whos got the time or the energy...besides politically incorrect is funnier then politically correct jokes

i was in a show and 2 of the dancers and one of the singers lived "alternative lifestyle" and i keped making jokes forgheting about it ..

like when i was joking with the other guitarist in the spare of the moment when he sat too close to me i keped sayin " what are you ? "alternative lifestyle "? ...forgheting and then a second later it would hitt me and go red much to the amusement of the other guitarist who knew that i slipped up again

but luckily for me the guys were very cool and funnny themselfs and didnt take offence...they were very good to me, i am proud to call them friends

The most embarrassing incident that happened to me in saying the wrong thing was some years ago in England. I was standing outside a shop looking at the display through the window when a guy came up behind me...rudely bumped into my back and pushed me roughly against the glass.

Before I could think I turned round and shouted angrily " ARE YOU F###ING BLIND?"

There in front of me was a small man with Dark glasses and a stick who simply said "yes" before tapping his way down the street.

Luckily he couldnt see how red my face was before I quickly hurried away to die of shame.

I think I've just worked out what's meant by "Alternative Lifestyle"...

I didn't quite get the posts at first, as I thought it meant growing your own vegetables and being a vegan and getting rid of your car and cycling everywhere and putting solar panels on your roof and going for bracing country walks at the weekend instead of the pub etc.

Duh!

Years ago I got really sick of call centres phoning me up asking me if I'd like a new mobile phone absolutelely free, with so many hours of phoning and texting free as well for only so much a month.
They wouldn't take no for an answer so I started using the line..
"What? Is this a wind-up or something...who is this really?"
They of course took it the wrong way thinking I was amazed at the bargain and get even more enthused in their sales pitch.
I kept saying "Who is this really?, until they ran out of steam and said..
"Why would it be a wind-up?".
I'd then reply, "Because I've been paralysed and bedridden for the last 20 years!"

You could feel the embarrassment at the other end.

cheers,

Ron

So funny Florian. You should have told me what terrible problems you have with Italians in Australia !!

Once I was in Ireland and got talking with a local. I told her I was from London and she said " How do you cope with all them blacks ?" and I replied " Same as we cope with all the Irish "

- or anywhere else. Unfortunately, despite whatever progress humans have made in the last 40,000 years you can still run into bloody idiots pretty well anywhere.

It's allright to say 'feckin' here, the filters don't speak Irish.

Estevan,

In Glasgow everybody's called "Jimmy", so it doesn't matter anyway.

(See you Jimmy.. )
