I'm not sure how accurate that tab is. I just found it online by chance. If you like, I can come up with a slowed-down video of myself playing it, so you can SEE what you need to play, rather than read it.
Mate, I don't mind playing it slowly. However, did you have a look at the tab? Maybe it's accurate! Try it out, and if it's not clear, remind me and I'll hook you up with a slowed-down video.
Jesse has a way with nice melodies and a pick on the nylon string, although it seems he is using his fingers more and more?? He started out with playing music for some tv station background music or so I heard and people were so interested in who that was and now look at him.
That isn't it mate. I just played the tune along with the mp3 that I have. It's very easy. The melody part is straight forward. If you want to play the exact notes that Jesse uses in-between the melody (so-called refrain, if you like) part, you can, but I say: play the melody (of which I can provide a video in a couple of minutes once you ask me to), and IMPROVISE the stuff in between.
The melody is what identifies the rumba as Cancion Triste, and that is the part that sticks in your head. The stuff in between is just "fills," and I suggest your fills stem from within you (and you can maybe just take some idea from Jesse).
Hi Ramzi, So, CancionTriste is a Rumba piece? Aren't Rumba pieces supposed to be fast? Well, yes, would you please provide the video to me? Appreciate your time and help Ramzi.
According to my humble knowledge, it's a rumba. I don't know if that's right or wrong though.
If someone else would care to enlighten me in case I'm mistaken, PLEASE do so.
Hussein! I'll provide you with the video. No worries. And we'll work on it from there in case you need any other pointers. However, I have an exam tomorrow (Thursday July 30), and I need to study for it. So I'll cook up the video after. Ole!
