I really think so too! It's actually the only logo I've ever been enthusiastic about of all the suggestions before. But it's gotta be right.
Can you imagine how many versions of the "Apple" or any other logo they looked at? I'm sure it wasn't just the first couple of attempts!
I love Kozz's original image, but it's got to be the right text style to make it appear innocent and childish, but a powerful logo.
It takes time to get things just right, as I'm sure we all here already know.
I'd be very happy and interested to look at any other member's text ideas based on the above philosophy and not changing Kozz's original image in any way.
That part is perfect IMO.
So get your PaintBox's and PhotoShop's out and start scribing!
i kind of like this writting without the picture and its a litlle more general rather then just guitar...plus the simplicity makes it cool.. non pretentious, not that the drowing of the stick man is pretentious on the contrary its too non pretentious lol...or atleast minimise the smile a litlle..it makes him look like a smack ...theres no excuse for beeing that happy, i hate people like that ..theres plenty of reasons to be unhappy if people just try a litlle
his smile freaks me out ...dont walk up to me with a smile like that il kill you stick man
if we really wanna represent a flamenco guitarist put some mizerable, face of someone always feeling insecure, unhappy and unsitisfied with his playing (aand has too many grey hairs too soon), ...what will people think if someone walks in a sees someone smilling like that ? they gonna think we arrogant ...whose smilling ? aint no smilling going on over here.. thats not flamenco
por favour i have a reputaation dont make me have to stab you kozz ....we might as well use this one
but i am not gonna tell you what to do ...but dont be surprised if next week i am hanging out with bob who hopefully is not smilling

Me too! That's a brilliant stick-man cartoon Kozz.
Yer a genius.
I can see you being resident political cartoonist on ForoFlamenco, commenting on various foro issues without the use of words.
I must say, the clean lines of Kozz's first example is definitely growing on me.
Would like to see a version with the stick man to the left rather than in the middle, followed by the text (in-line instead of staggered) just to see how it looks. As for the smile, I like it 'cos it's so ridiculous and insanely happy and most unlike the actual experience of learning Flamenco guitar.
It looks indeed very good. Kozz has talent to draw in child-style. It gives a feeling of a positive attitude. But for the foro.. I dont know.. You know,..flamenco is a very strong charismatic thing. Children are weak, and still uncharismatic. So a picture drawn by a child is the opposite of the image which fits on a flamenco foro I think.
I agree. But there is something about Kozz's drawing that conveys the AMATEUR membership of this site, rather than a cold, hardcore information service, with the same old usual cliched flamenco-style logos.
I quite like numbers 1 and 4.....and maybe 5. They are not submissions....just general ideas.
they are all cool , and you if we read all the forums like DUENDE posts etc......we are al into the serious art of flaemcno but this is like a release and we are all a family i like the childish touch KOZZ life is hard sometimes.
this forum Rocks - lets keep it good spirited - Rons got my vote last pic
I really liked that one, Ed. Since i know NOTHING about painting and cant impress with striking designs, i tried to add something to your picture that represents my deep and sensitive personalitiy.

I must admit, Ed's artwork did rather put me in mind of a guitarist wrestling with a voluptuous Rubensian nude woman, but refrained from saying anything....Ed being a psychiatrist an' all.

Me too!! I thought, hmmm something interesting going on in Ed's mind here. But it took Deniz's 'sensitive personality' to bring that out
