If something is going to kill flamenco its going to be guys like you. Very well said, Anders. . . (My own two cents, for what it's worth: ) Over several hundred years flamenco may have gone through its highs and lows. Nevertheless, it has continued to evolve, and has become a widely-respected international art form. But does this mean the traditional palos will die out? Never; never. Nunca! I think mark is just joking... Flamenco surely won't die out, I would think about that chance only if there would be a mass extinction of andalucian gypsies.[8D] I disagree. Flamenco has its roots in Andulacia and they do keep it alive as it is something passed down to them but there art form is not longer private or exclusive as it once was , and even if all the Gitanos were to die Flamenco has already made itself known to others outside of Spain. Asides from that if Genocide hit the gypsies of Andualicia in this day and age, I wouldn't be surprised if people became more interested in Flamenco after mass extinction because surely it would become well known to the world living in the information age and all which could lead to much curiosity on behalf of us monkeys. Just my 2c
