hey doit--how does one say bernie madoff ponzie scheme in spanish? it really looks like the c.e.o. of flamenco world is running his own version of a ponzie scheme. flamenco connection, of the good old u.s.a., has a huge catalogue and they deliver the goods--a bit pricey but at least the customer actually receives the merchandise.

hepkesake -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Jul. 16 2012 21:23:46)

We also have made a complaint to the police local in Jerez and the other emailadress. We have also made reactions to teatro Villa Marta who is connected with this company and the facebooksite from flamenco-world.com.
We hope that everybody will react because it's the only way to stop this business.
I informed also their bank bij sending our complaint to buzon@bankinter.es.
They told they can not stop the business but I am sure that if people are sending their complaints a department will make contact with them.

Greetings,

Hans

Thank you for taking action. Since my post, when I publicly shamed them by putting notice on their Facebook page that they do not honor order and are bad business, they sent me a message the following day. Shame works, kind of. The same ol' song and dance: the videos are not in stock but they will have them on June 12th. I emailed Daniel back on the 12th. He said still out of stock. I emailed back a week later asking for tracking. Nope, not yet. I emailed him telling him that I want to believe they are a good company so make good and send my order. June 26th: they mean no harm to customers, but things aren't as easy as they'd like and order should ship within the week.
STILL WAITING as of July 19th. I'm tired of waiting and disputing TODAY.
Thanks again for calling the police and business bureau in Spain. [&:]

Kate -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Jul. 28 2012 13:18:36)

I have not heard anything good about this online shop. The postage is bumped up to make more money and customer service is not a priority as we have seen from this thread.

I would always recommend deflamenco.com as Rafa is an afficionado who knows his stuff and runs flamenco shop with a lot of respect for his customers and for the artists. He is genuinely interested in supporting flamenco art. He has always stocked our independent productions, and does not take a massive slice of the sale. His postal charges are reasonable and his delivery rate is excellent. Plus he will actually reply to queries and emails.

Charging for goods that dont exist is not "a way how to run a business", let alone a legally accepted one.

hepkesake -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Jul. 29 2012 12:05:58)

To those who ordered product by flamencoworld.
We made a lot of effort to stop the way how flamencoworld is robbing people their money.
We have seen on internet the director is Silvia Calado you can find her on facebook. Daniel Munoz the guy who is taking all the photos off the flamencoartist is also director and one of the founders. He is not on the facebook (you can guess why) but you can google him on danielmpantiga. He uses his pantiga name to sell his work and travelling all over the world probably with our money. Also his probably sister is Esther Munoz who has wrtitten us is on facebook also with another name Esther Cabe. All this three people are connected with each other.
What we have done is informing the local police, tourist info Jerez de la Frontera, theatro Villamarta, bank flamencoworld but all these organisations have read the information but did not react.
The last possibility we took is made contact in Holland with ECC (European Consumers Centrum). We have send them all our informacion we already had. We have had a reaction from a laywer that they take actio. They have made contact with the Spanish ECC and they will try to make communicacion with the company and will ask them how this all is possible They already phoned them but not answering but we are sure they will go on. We have an advice to all of you when you are living in Europe to make contact with the ECC in your country and tell and inform them about the problem so your country ECC will contact the Spanish ECC. Perhaps is their also someting in countries outside Europe.
If something is happening by the ECC I will inform you by foroflamenco. We hope you do all the same thing because we think it's the only way to stop this behaviour of flamencoworld.

Yes Deniz, in an ideal perfect world what you say is correct.

But if you had studied law then you'd know that there is something called "burden of proof" and additionally law is divided into "commercial" and "civil".

You cannot substantiate your claims by the methods of evidence accepted in a court of law, so you cannot provide sufficient proof in court, nor would you go to that length as you'd be paying thousands of $$ for a $30 DVD (thats called a "Pyrrhic Victory").

Furthermore, police do not entertain commercial complaints unless criminal law has been broken .... and this company, whilst behaving terribly, has broken no criminal laws.

Finally, "justice" and "law" are two very different concepts .... there is hardly any justice in a court.

Thats actually a good post. Let me cover the points one by one:

1) Yes justice and law can be in accordance each other but dont have to be always. But usually the idea(l) is the law is altered in a way that it matches what is perceived as just. If justice serves an economical or political interest of the state then the law IS changed subsequently. If not, than statements like "there is no money", or "the juristical experts are still debating over this" can be heard.

2) I know you said "crime" but i changed it to "legally accepted", since, not criminal, but civil law is broken here. And of course you can go to the police give them the evidence and they will give it to the court which will decide if its enough to open a case. Ive never heard that the police wouldnt be active in civil/commercial cases? If you succeed not only you get the costs of your 30$ back, but also the costs for a lawyer, court fees etc, which im sure can go 300 - 3000 maybe? Depending how long the case takes. Well it sucks that you have to pay IN ADVANCE for all those costs (and btw, one of many cases where you can study that we are NOT equal in terms of rights), but if you do, it helps to damage "scam dealers".

lou -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Aug. 20 2012 8:30:03)

Hello, everyone. I just wanted to say that I HAVE RECEIVED MY ORDER from FlamencoWorld. I know - it's a miracle! I placed my order in 19th January 2012 and I actually received it on 14th August 2012. After countless emails (I did receive replys to some of them) and failed attempts to phone the office in Spain, I did eventually receive the top, skirt and earrings I ordered.

Not only did I follow this forum, I also informed FlamencoWorld about all the unhappy and angry customers.

I did have a happy ending - SEVEN MONTHS LATER! And I hope everyone else who ordered from this company gets satisfaction too.

To all flamenco lovers, my very best wishes to you!

hepkesake -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Aug. 20 2012 20:25:48)

A few days ago we have got our flamencodress we ordered in november 2011.
We have done a lot of things to get it. We even made contact with Intermezzo in Barcelona (producer of the flamencodress) and after that it was getting very fast. A day after contacted Intermezzo we got an email that flamenco-world would sent everything in August. And believe it or not. They did it.
We think that Intermezzo made pressure to flamencoworld.
So hold on!!!!

Doitsujin -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Aug. 20 2012 20:35:36)

They suck and totally lost our trust. Nobody here would ever purchase anything at this shop again. There are better alternatives. So,..forget about it. They messed it up,..loong time ago with too many people.

keith -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Aug. 21 2012 1:22:17)

lou and hepkesake--did flamenco world say why it took so long to fill your order? if they said nothing, then screw them. if they said something please post so we can get a laugh or two--and still screw them. short of an earthquake or tsunami destroying their facility their behavior deserves punishment.

hepkesake -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Aug. 21 2012 6:20:40)

No flamenco-world had no excuses. We have told a lot of organisations about their behaviour contactpersons in the dutch flamencoscene also the ECC, local police, bank, teatro Villamarta in Jerez, tourist information centre Jerez, Intermezzo, sending comment to the director on facebook that they are destroying the flamenco business as an export product. We think flamenco-world noticed that we were going on making negative publicity. But you can imagine that we never place an order again in spite off our delivery.

hbecky -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Sep. 17 2012 4:30:56)

[&:] I am having my 1 year and 3 moths anniversary of my $69 Euro DVD and Book order yet to be shipped.
So, This Flamenco-world is constantly lying about their item out of stock.
NO TRUST to this shop anymore. And, Flamenco-world is being posted as a "Fruad" company in Asian countries as well as my county here.

And, I really recommend Flamenco Vive. I ordered the same item above from Flamenco Vive, and I received my order just 3 days after my order. Quick and Easy. :)

pachinko -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Nov. 21 2012 14:31:18)

Some of my friends lost hundreds of Euros to flamenco-world.com, and only get the same "we are dealing it as soon as possible", "we will refund you" empty replies.

Some of them posted to Facebook page of flamenco-world and the page was shutdown to stop the posts.

I myself have bought from Flamenco Vive, it's really quick.

faustoitur -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Dec. 26 2012 19:03:13)

I fully recomend the online shop of flamencolive.com.
This people are really compromised with flamenco. They are flamenco producers Book, CDs and DVDs and now they have their own online shop.

Belive me they are delivering really quick.
This is the shop link: http://www.storemusic-live.com/?lang=EN

timoteo -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Dec. 26 2012 20:10:02)

faustoitur - You have only made 5 posts in foroflamenco, but ALL of them have been to tout flamencolive.com.

This makes me wonder whether you are associated with that web site?

faustoitur -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Dec. 26 2012 22:10:18)

Timoteo, I happy with their service and prodiucts. That´s all

tickedOff -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Jan. 1 2013 0:10:56)

Ugh, this company is the worst!! Email after email, ticket after ticket and no reply. 11 months and no goods. Their facebook page no longer accepts comments or wall posts... go figure. I submitted a claim with the Federal Trade Commission as far as I see this their site is a fraud and their ISP should be notified. Will see where this goes. Here's the site for anyone else interested:

tickedOff -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Jan. 1 2013 0:15:42)

I also recommend reporting their site on facebook.

Doitsujin -> RE: Flamenco world shop (Jan. 1 2013 13:21:19)

This site is really weird... how could such continuous frauds over the years in such a tiny niche (flamenco) work out?? And that without any consequences?

I recommend..if you cant resist and buy smth there... let em get the money from your bank. Like that...in case of no delivery..you just tell your bank to put the money back on your account. I did that once when I bought a book but never got it. After my bank got me my money they angrily called me... it was hilarious. Very entertaining complains there...but.. they didnt get any money for no goods.

Why do you believe a US institution would have any bearing on a business located in Spain? Contact the appropriate organizations in Spain if anything, I believe someone in this thread did it before.
