How do you install a mic in the guit...

Hey guys!! Been a long time since i posted here last time!

I have a classic guitar, and i have to buy a microphone because we're playing with my band more and more places that are amplified.

Until now, i've been borrowing a friends flamenco guitar that has a mic already in it.

Now i know the best would be to have an external mic, but i don't have the ressources right now to buy something costy.

I figured i would buy a mic that has to be inside.

So here's my question :

Wich mic should i get?

Do you guys know how to install the mic and make the hole behind the guitar?

Thank you!

Feedback will be your main problem with installing a mic on the guitar.

One of our customers who is a professional guitarist experimented with all kinds of arrangements and ended up with a lapel mic attached with velcro just under the 19th fret. The mic just peeks out beyond the end of the fingerboard and is aimed out (very important). This gives him a very natural sound with minimal feedback. If you're going to jack the mic to an amp you should drill the hole through the end block. It's really the only safe place to do it. Cover the area with masking tape before drilling and use a sharp drill bit (i.e. new). We made a large opening in end block of our client's guitar and mounted the jack on a recessed ebony plate which makes installation and modification much simpler.
