RE: learn flamenco guitar, only 60â‚... (in reply to principe)
Hi there. We have several members here on the forum who provide services who are welcome. They are active and participate in other posts that are not necessarily related to direct sale of their product. Because of their reputation professionalism and good nature, we are drawn to their products. Maybe you could be the same way with your posts? If we get to know you and you become more of a person and less like a spam robot with only sales in mind, you will be welcome here. Hopefully you will join us and can help us all appreciate flamenco more, you will get more students and you may even meet some people you like.

My purpose is to teach flamenco worldwide. I'm from Cadiz, where flamenco was born, and took flamenco guitar playing from the 10 years I have played alongside Manolo Sanlucar and Manolo Franco among other guitarists, and I'm not any robot sales, just a humble guitar player who wants to teach at Flemish a lot of people down a path that had never been tried before. Am very sorry if you've understood as only sell. Thank you and I´M sorry.

Gummy is right we have no objection to members selling guitars, classes, CDs etc but only if they are actively participating in the forum. So far you have posted 5 times and each time it was an advertisment for your school. This is essentially spamming.
I am sure everyone here would be interested in hearing more about you growing up in cadiz and learning flamenco. Why dont you post some playing in the audio section or comment on others playing. Talk about who inspired you, what shows you have seen, start conversations, that is after all what a forum is for. Whenever you post a message put a link to your online flamenco school. People will get the message.
Welcome aboard, tell us something about yourself. Do you still live in Cadiz ?

Just some honest comments and an advice (even if you dont want to participate in the foro):
If you want to take 60 Euros / month for internet classes, your informations and specially your preparation as a teacher through internet is not good enough imo.
1) First of all you have to make a good website (not some myspace link). Maybe you are preaparing a homepage, i hope so.
2) if you are also interested to teach to intermediate players (and not only absolute beginners), you have to give some more examples of your playing skills and lessons (not only one tanguillo with 3 chords), so that those of us who are intermediate players (and who can judge if you are good as a teacher or not) get the chance to see if you really are good (as a teacher).
3) You have to offer more than other sources like this if you want double the price:
It costs 30 US$ (less than half of what you want) and there we have already more than 80 lessons (beginner, intermediate, expert) available (whereas you offer 2 videos each month), with professional video and audio with different camera angles, slow, fast, notes, etc. ......oh, and it is from a player who can play like this:
4) prepare some free lessons for advertising and for the start and upload them on youtube and let people know you :

Well it's nice to hear about some of your background, it sounds like you are going to be appreciated around here. We all want to learn more about flamenco. There are beginners here like me and there are also professionals too. We all want to learn more and relate with others who have the same interests. I looked on youtube and could not find any videos of you playing. Do you have any videos online now?(besides the myspace page?) Rod

I haven't posted anything in a while. I hope I'm not going to be considered a spammer too. Hi Principe, I have a good friend who is a guitarist from Cadiz. Perhaps you know him. His name is Ricardo Rivera.

I hardly think so Jason, you're a valued member and all your posts have been helpful, informative and interesting etc. I dont get the impression you are here to drum up business.
We have a forum member in Cadiz as well, Sean who is very involved with the Cadiz flamenco scene.

I have no objection to professionals, builders, educators, authors, or whoever posting threads regarding their services. I am interested in resources regardless of the level of participation in various threads. Just my opinion. Participation of course is nice, but I understand that people are busy.
RE: learn flamenco guitar, only 60â‚... (in reply to principe)
Even then, one thread should be enough. Especially considering the activity level of the Foro, it's not like his one thread would drop to the bottom within a few hours, so there's no reason to make more.

I am with Mark..I dont really care either way ...Its a resource..( it would work better under Resources, or Classifieds etc..) as the general is for General discusion but It dosent bother me if Principe just wishes to advertise and dosent mind using the Resources or Clasifieds section of the forum in the future without beeing involved, i dont see a problem..hes not out to insult anyone just make a living...
I dont want anyone here pretending to get involved just to advertise, that would be worst lol.. if someone wants to be here he will be here not because we told him to..Participation is nice but not if hes busy or simply not his thing etc... Hes teaching flamenco guitar and this is a Flamenco Forum
just because some have or dont need or want a teacher lets not decide for everyone...u wouldnt wanna miss out on a great teacher just because he dosent post here..or because someone else thats allready got a teacher spoke for you
I think we should make an effort to remain open and aprochable...as the flamenco scene extends way past the walls of this forum and in the end its still us that miss out..

hmm.....not yet....but if you want to keep your foro status, its about time to give all foro members free tickets for your concerts .....hmm, also paying for our Hotel rooms would be nice.....and some nice hand made flamenco guitars for us as leaving christmas present would guaranty your status for one more year.
RE: learn flamenco guitar, only 60â‚... (in reply to principe)
Hey principe i would like to see some more videos from you. Some falsetas or something. I found your advertisment and price a bit heavy, comparing to the quality and amount of the lesson(s). I think that is also the reason why you get some critical comments here (if you wondered why). As you see, the idea with the internet is not new, and other people, although they are not from Cadiz, offer some good material. You should have at least checked the prices before you make an offer.

Good points FLo. He did post in the classifieds section. I'll bet he gets more business though if he is more outgoing and well known.
Jason, we understand you have a similar business but we all appreciate the other contributions you have made. Also, you are known to us through your reputation of business and musicianship. Thanks for being here on occasion and thanks for your website.
RE: learn flamenco guitar, only 60â‚... (in reply to principe)
hello to everyone. ACCEPT your criticism, I tell you just give me a you to learn flamenco because you live outside Spain and that you like flamenco for you to learn to play flamenco guitar by a professor of Andalusia, which is flamenco since she was born. But if you think ill of me and do not want to take classes, i´m sorry. That was my intention. My method of teaching flamenco is effective at 100% and I will point you checked. I´m living in San Fernando, Cádiz, and since I was a boy I played the flamenco guitar. My father was friend of Camaron and your familiy y I was playing with him. Soon I tell you more about my life. A greeting to all.
