me and my friend we had a very long a funny argument last night,
the argument was about the differnet schoolس in flamenco the jerez school and the moron school,
well, i am a Moraito fan, so i love the jerez school too much, i love all the players that belong to the jerez school,
BUT, my friend is a very tradtional player, he even play the flamenco guitar in the tradtional postion, he always wish like he should be born at the 60s hahahahaha, and we always said that this guy is out of his time, hehehehehehe and he is only 21 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
any way, he is crazy about diego del gastor, diego de moron and paco del gastor and any player that belong to the Moron school,
loool , so last night we start to argue, i said deigo del gastor the old bolde player, with all of his falstas is a legato and look what did he do to deigo de moron, then he star to to make fun of Paco cepreo about his way of playing falstas and picado, bla bla bla
it was crazy night, all the frineds were lughing and i was acting ike diego del gastor the way he make expresions in his face, hahahaha
but guys for real,
which school is your favourite the jerez or the moron??
RE: Jerez de la frontera V.S Moron d... (in reply to Haithamflamenco)
its all flamenco, diegos style is amazing and very personalised, i like diegos bulerias but i would prefer to listen to buleria de jerez, its got alot more bounce to it.
RE: Jerez de la frontera V.S Moron d... (in reply to Haithamflamenco)
2Haithamflamenco: I think I understand your friend - I love Diego Del Gastor, and Im 20 years old - So shut up! New generation is here and Diego is Back
Now seriouslly: I also enjoy Moraitos style, he is one of my favourite players. Actually I just buy his CD Morao Y Oro from internet so I really like him. But its something else than Digeo, different duende:)
RE: Jerez de la frontera V.S Moron d... (in reply to Haithamflamenco)
I enjoy all flamenco for listening, but I prefer to play ( or attempt to play) Moron mainly because it is what I learned from a friend of Diego del Gastor back in the early 70's.
