RE: Vietnamese flamenco player (in reply to Romanza

Hi Romanza,

I've not heard of him but asked my brother if he knows of him as he also lives in Saigon and publishes a what's on magazine.

"Some say Dung even rivals world legend Paco De Lucia, who is among the handful of flamenco guitarists to have success-fully incorporated other genres of music."

I wonder who it is that says this, mabe his promoter/publicist !!!

"Dung has diversified even further by transforming several Vietnamese pieces into flamenco melodies."

Now these I would like to hear, hope he is performing when I am in Saigon next year.

Kate

He sounds sorta "concert polished", but more a rival to Carlos Montoya than Paco de Lucia in my opinion.

cheers,

Ron
