I mentioned Glasgow University in another post. It just put me in mind of something.
Well, there seems to be a bit of a lull on the Forum just now, so I thought I'd mention an interesting thing I learned at a Photography course there many years ago, that may provide a pastime for bored Forumites.
Did you know that everyone has a "fat" face and a "thin" face?
It's true! Everyone on the course was amazed!
Back then we had to do it by cutting up negatives and using film and developer and chemicals etc, but these days it should be easy using a computer.
Get a full face picture of yourself and cut it down the exact middle. Separate the Left half and the Right half. Now, reverse the Left half and join it back again to the original Left half. Do the same with the Right.
You should get a "Thin" face version of yourself and a "Fat" face version as well.
I thought this must be a well known phenomenon, but I couldn't find it on Google.
cheers,
Ron

No Ron, I didn't know that. I only know that noone has a symetric face and that everybody has an ugly and a handsome side. Except for the monster of Frankenstein who was sewed together with two pretty sides.
And that Julio Iglesias never wanted his ugly side to be filmed.
Sic est.

The old chap that showed us that must be passed away now...
Wonderful that you thought to extend it to other animals as well!
I'm astounded by the cat pictures!

dorky side
LOL!
That's the way "everybody" looks in this experiment on the "thin" side!
I heard that the farther your eyes are apart (e.g. Richard Branson) makes people consider you as very intelligent. The closer together your eyes are (e.g. Prince Charles) makes people consider you less intelligent.
(I was going to say George W.....but I don't want to start an International incident here.. )
Thanks for the photos John. I'd love to see more Fat/Thin faces.
Florian?...Simon?...Bash?....Ailsa?....more?
Let's see 'em!
cheers,
Ron
