They're just great memories to have. For some reason I felt weird at Gerardos course and only took one with Manolo Sanlucar after seeing others doing it. Now I think it's no different than taking pics with others you meet and enjoy having spent time with.
Way too bad you missed out on all those pics, though I'm sure you still took away a lot of things much more valuable...

RE: Photos...why take em? (in reply to henrym3483)
The Gerardo course got me all fired up. I'm finally taking the time and spending the money to learn from these people and it's worth it. Rafael Cortés is coming up in a couple of weeks. Sometime next year I'm planning on going to Seville to see Tino Vandersman and Eduardo Rebollar. Good stuff...

I'm afraid I don't have any flamenco stories. Ron's met some interesting people though, where's he at?
Being from Seattle I was pretty close to the whole grunge scene. I met Kurt Cobain. My cousin bought shrooms from the guitarist of Soundgarden and my uncle had to drive the bassist out to the beach to run around because he was having a bad trip.
Also my aunt went to high school with Jimi Hendrix. Needless to say, he wasn't very good in school and she didn't see him very often.

I never have because I always felt I carried what they gave me inside my head but....now after seeing some of the recent photos at Gerardo's worshop and such I regret not doing it.
well i did, this is me and Paco just kicking it at my place... he wanted to experiment that night, he wanted to know how Alegrias sounds togheder with Bulerias... so i showed him.
he didnt say anything but i could just tell that he didnt like it.
here is me and Vince ( I call him that to tease him )
and here's from left to right: Sara Baras, Manuela Carrasco, Montse Cortes and El Viejin ( i was taking the photo) they came to my gig.

Hey John O. I've got a photo of me and paco jamming too, except paco is holding a down a much more difficult chord
I think we take photos to 1. remind ourselves we were really there in those moments. 2. show forumites we were really there in those moments 3. put inside home made CD covers to bolster street sales!
Great photo John. Paco looks like his thoughts are far away in that photo. Could he be thinking 'I'm so lucky getting to play with John', or 'wish I was playing with Vicente right now'?
Not true, I swear we hang! She really is black/white toned like that too. We meet regularly for Simpsons marathons at her house and she calls me "honey bear"
