Thought it might be fun to try and create the ultimate flamenco guitarist from several and combine into one. Bit like fantasy football but more interesting cos that's just a ball game, this is art!! (ha ha) mmMMMmm this is going to stir it up a bit but what the heck it's bit of fun. My premise here is to pick a wide range of artists who inspire me but choose one technique or "flamenco thing" from each. Unfortunately, some of the artists are so good that it is very difficult to choose just one technique (the obvious being PDL). Please note - I'm NOT necessarily saying that the technique they have listed is the best of any player - NO, NO Obviously I could take PDL and have him against most techniques (prob except tremolo where Paco Pena is DEFO better!! so there, stir, stir...).
in no particular order ....
Tremolo - Paco Pena Ligado - Pepe Habichuela Arpeggio - Gerardo Nunez Pulgar - Tomatito Picado - Nino De Pura Compas - Moraito Chico Harmony - Vicente Amigo Left Hand - Paco De Lucia Alzapua - Marcial Heredia (some may not know him) Rasgueado - Manuel Silveria (mainly accompanies dance which prob explains)
.. yeah, yeah I know there are lots of techniques in rasgueado... and yes, there are other techniques but these are main ones, I hope.
C'mon get your thinking caps on and maybe together we can create the ultimate.

Haven't properly listened to Pena's tremolo. Well I have but its never leapt out at me.(I'll pay more attention) What about Gerardo's tremolo??? Thats freaking awesome! Every time I hear it it gives me goose bumps!!
