I honestly don't get what is the big deal. See Paco or Vicente play makes folks not want to play or post? Sorry I dont' get it. Earlier when Todd and some other guy posted some good playing, some folks felt we needed a special section for only beginner members to upload. Can't we just face there are ALL different levels from beginner to Paco, and no one is as good as Paco, but we all fall somewhere in the middle, and either inspire one an other or try to help others with advice? it is no big deal Ricardo, the videos are fine, but we can get the best of both worlds, the Paco and Vicente videos will keep coming nothing really changes people who wanna see em still can ofcourse, but i enjoy members uploads also they have gonne down alot since the Links, so if this dosent effect the Paco videos at all, its not gonna hurt any of us to try something different to mibe encourage a litlle change, expecially if theres nothing to lose. there is no downside quote:
and either inspire one an other or try to help others with advice? Paco.. I know he can do it, i love seeing it but i expect him to, dosent surprisse me anymore, but this days I get more inspired when one of us does something great, expecially when i have seen him grow as a guitarist over the years it encourages me, it drives me, it makes me think, "yes. hes one of us mibe i can do it too". I dont think it has anything to do with fake illusions of where we are as guitarists.

Critisicm is so important everybody underestimates it. Not competition, critisicm. ok ... but how do you vote noone is arguing the importance of feedback, that is perhaps exactly why we should change things, so that other members may find it eazyer to join in therfore get feedback. just saying , "dont worry about criticism its good for you , wont change anything" making this litlle changes just might. The members audio posts have gonne down Alot, thats a fact, if anyone has got better reasons or actual ideas on how we might fix it i am open to anything. i dont know all the reasons, but we can sit back and say " It'l be allright" and watch it go on the same or we could try to think of litlle ways that wont inconvinience any of us so that mibe we could make it better. but i am also just 1 member, 1 vote, so whatever the majority agrees with il respect.

See Paco or Vicente play makes folks not want to play or post? Sorry I dont' get it. Ricardo man, I'm not getting at you...but sometimes I think that you look at things from where you are now, not from where you once were.... Everything is obvious once you know it....compás, rhythm, technique etc. As I said..I'm not getting at you, but we are all sentient beings here... I suppose we all want a bit of a bit of a slap on the back for something we've worked hard at and feel a little bit proud about...even if it's just playing some rhythm compás for Soleares that eluded us before, but we've finally just got and want to show/share the exuberation with other members, since family and friends are not really interested that much... I for one would not want to upload a few crappy bulerias falsetas for comment and have the next post a link to that Vincente's Bulerias! I think you are a great player and really great at explaining stuff, but I would agree that your feelings are in the minority (as you admit) but most of us are much less secure than that...fear of making a fool of yourself etc. I joined the Forum within the first few days of Escribano getting it up and running and I must seriously say that I found the amateur uploads incredibly inspiring as opposed to the out-of this-world superhuman stuff from the few exponents I was hearing on CD's. I could listen to folk having the same problems in the same places I had! This was a far better learning experience IMO, than listening to a perfect virtuoso rendition from a famous professional. I'm not saying your point of view is wrong Ricardo, but I think a little empathy with the beginners and intermediate students here and their personal feelings as just ordinary human beings would not be bad also. Hope you see what I'm saying man...please don't take offence and post a smartass answer or stuff just to be right. We're all in the same boat, but at different stages. So my view is that juxtaposing members own uploads with World famous professionals is not a good thing. cheers, Ron

Gee, who would take offense to that? lol... cmon man a blind man can see that Ron likes you and respects you, i hope u are beeing sarcastic and arent honestly affected by that remark... he is scotish ..they are the only people that when they curse someone out, (when u do figure out what they are saying ) instead of getting offended you burst out loughing cause it sounds so funny and cute I always try to make my Scotish friends here angry ... they ready to kill me and i wanna hug em as for the thread, i dont think this is a toucy subject at all, its just a subject, and we are discussing it, absoluteley anyones input is wanted and apreciated. On the other hand, Ron or Simon could have just done it without asking our opinion, but i think its nice that we are beeing asked and we are discussing it. And i dont belive that u or anyone has to lai theyr opinions low, i mean that is why Ron made this post to begin with, to get everyone's opinion, u cant make it any more fair than that.
