August Flamenco classes at UC Irivine
The New World Flamenco Festival is one of North America's premiere showcases of the arts of Spain. More than 6000 people attend the festival each summer from across the country. Below is information about three guitar workshops that will take place during this summer's festival. Please share this information with your students.
The Festival’s Music Director, Jason McGuire, will provide students with knowledge of flamenco structures, styles, and accompaniment for flamenco dance and cante. He will also demonstrate ideas for composition and phrasing. Bring tape recorders or video cameras.
