From your video, Does your hand feel relaxed? When I separate my fingers like you I feel excess tension in the tendons in my hand. Although our anatomy is different. I would focus on developing separation of each downstroke with control and attack. One finger at a time. With time you will develop more control in your hand. I’m sure Dr. Ricardo will weigh in with a proper prescription. It feels relaxed, it’s like natural for me and I don’t feel any tension. The separation of downstrokes makes sense to me, I don’t have good control in the fingers at all. quote:
It will be ok but you need to practice not moving the entire hand so much, only fingers, and focus on timing by starting UP with i first. I up a m i... iami...iami.... etc. 4 even notes, you can feel the first three as a triplet and the 4th , the i down stroke, is on the beat All right, I was not sure about the hand movement. Practicing by starting with I up is very good exercise I think, you also recommended it one other post, and I’m going to also start doing it with a beat. I did only one such exercise the other day, basically when I started working on rasgueado again. Thanks a lot for these tips guys, hopefully I will be able to show you some progress soon :) Cheers
