RE: I Dreamt I Slept in Marble Halls... (in reply to Pedoviejo

Pedoviejo,

Thanks for your thoughts. It's really nice to have someone who is further along in life to comment on things.

You articulated clearly some ideas I think were implicit in my post.

I have recently begun to think about guitarists as having virtues and vices, each one seems to have his own configuration and it's nice to observe the differences.

I also recently got the Serranito Virtusismo (I thought it was virtuosismo, but check the cd, I think it's virtusismo whether that's right or wrong I'm curious). In any case, Serranito was fast enough, at least it seems to me.

Your stories are fun to read.

Any chance you care to let us know who you are? Age? Where do you live? Where di you play professionally? How many years you spent where in Spain?

What other advice do you have for us younger guitarists? I am 32, and feel that nearly everytime I sit down to practice these days, I discover something new for myself. I have been playing for 21 years now, off and on...Some days, I am encouraged because things sound clear, and I can play something around 110 beats per minute where it's required, but some days it sounds pretty bad....

Some days I feel like I can really become a serious guitarist, because I accomplish a goal, other days I think, what am I thinking trying to do this?

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you.

Anthony
