How about getting the basics down, with good timing ,
and decent flamenco sound before jumping too far ahead??
Still waiting for one well played, in time, falsetta...

No?? Ok, thats cool, nevermind.

Just keep "approximating". Chicks dig it...

Todd,
you'll be getting a really nasty and childish PM from eddy boy here. He sent me one, pretty hilarious actually. I believe his exact words were "**** you fag boy". Tisk tisk, shame on you. Ya wanna know what Ricardo is doing?, get educated first and stop being such a sad puppy begging for a bone; that's a good start. Try not to soil your pants again bubba.

RE: Extract sound from video (in reply to ykabban

Why is it yakkabn, that every oppurtunity you get your getting stuck into people? You come across as very bitter or sour, like you have a chip on your shoulder. Really, this forum is here for people to enjoy and share, not to be offensive to others.

This is shameful, your sitting there baiting Gabriel with your abrasive comments to no end, in fact all ive ever seen you do on this forum is two things, suck up peoples tushbag or being offensive to others. And not once have i seen Gabriel being offensive, but you seemed to have provocted him with your unpleasent way. Mission accomplashed. Big pat on the back for Yak. Love ya work man.

Maybe with your classic 'kick down or suck up' mentality, you would be more at home working in an office environment ****ting on your workmates and sucking up to the boss, trying to climb the corporate ladder.

Dont let him bait you Gabriel, unlike him you have a good level of basic human respect that you pass on to everyone you interact with, and at the end of the day if he is that bitter and negative on here, imagine how he feels inside when hes all alone.

RE: Extract sound from video (in reply to edgar884

There are two people who think my FLamenco sucks on this forum. Why I don't know.
How it happened I don't know. I work so hard and try so hard and I am so happy with the results really I am. I appreciate honesty and good advice but Todd and Ykabban seem to have something against me. I wish we could be friends and help each other but I just won't try any more. Iv'e seriously considered leaving.

I appreciate Florian and you Dominic for sticking up for me, and there is others.

I'm only trying to get better, thats why I upload. I have long term goals in Flamenco and I hope I don't get discouraged by the negative comments.

But maybe there right, or maybe there just not paying attention to my progress and just don't care because of something I said.

I try not to let it bother me. I'll just keep on trying to learn and share what I know with people who are interested.

Thanx man, seriously.

Sometimes you have to weigh up the good and the bad, does this environment help me or do the opposite?
At least Toddk, most of the time, offers advice on how he thinks someones playing can improve, on the other hand our friend yak just hangs **** on people, and doesnt offer any help...just insults. Unfortunatley theres not much you can do about it, except ignore it.

Well Todd hasn't been very helpful either, he just knocks everything I do. But in his eyes I suck I'm sure. But then again he must have skiped some things that were to hard for him, after all he doesn't play apoyanda, he uses a pick.

The good out weighs the bad for sure, and I think I have made some lifelong friens on this site. So I will be around for a long time you can bet on that.

Edgar,
I think there are a lot more than two...just kidding :)

Seriously, Ykabban seems pretty worthless so you might as well ignore him. But you're wrong about Todd. The reason he gives you caca is that he believes you have talent, and believes the sky's the limit if you apply yourself correctly. And...he believes his way is right and your way is holding you back. I guarantee you he wouldn't even waste his time on you if he didn't think you could be a very good player.

But whatever you think about that, don't let it slow you down in any way. Keep rocking!

Just let the movie run and record the sound with a simple recording programm. Than you can slow it down and its easyer than extracting or something. By the way you can save just the wave of every video with youtube. Its free and easyto use.
By the way, I see many falsetas played by you in short time. I think I would get you much faster to the next step of playing skill, if you really concentrate one a small repertoire at first and make it perfect. As ToddK said. This repertoire shoud be playable for you. Not too difficult at first. Why wasting time on useless falsetas? If you cant play them, you cant play them for friends and it makes you mad when you dont gt it perfectly.. Or why not working some exercises out? I do this allways. After that, I play some pieces which I play every day, to get it better. Get on it edgar. (^_-)bb

Edgar,
it might do you some good to hook up with some dancers. It'll force you to slow down and really make everything rock-solid, compas-wise. It'll add a little discipline. Like Zen Guitar said, some people come to the dojo with the spirit of wild mavericks, some people with the spirit of a tired nag.

You can pick every piece you like to play and which is maybe in your skill. I play every day a granainas and a fandango. At first some arpegio-etudes. The granaina is libre and the fandango is for my picado. When I practiced enough, I just play some rumbas with a friend or try to learn new falsetas or try to compose a bit. Between that, I get mad in danceclasses with teachers who dont wanna do a good looking dance,.. just allways try to make the clomping and the llamadas as hard as the can.....so there is no aire left. Just crazy very complicated clompig without any meaning. Just complicated...aah I hate that.

RE: Extract sound from video (in reply to edgar884

Do what doitsujin said, just play video on your media player, have your recording software running (make sure you set the record settings in your recording software to your onboard soundcard) and press record. Then you should be able to record the audio from the video, after that slow down the audio in transcribe or similar.
Hey check out the other monkey video i put in the off topic section, its classic!
