You've heard a couple of early mixes from the album in the upload section here (Tico Tico, Mi Tarantas) and the above web page includes a few more tasters to whet your appetite. Gipsy Kings fans should check out 'Sangre Gitana', a tribute to Tonino whose catchy tunes have been a mainstay of my gigging repertoire for several years.
Anyway several foro people wanted to know about this hence my posting even though it isn't a flamenco CD.
Cheers.
PS. Foro Flamenco gets a credit in the CD sleeve notes.

Hi Jon! Nice work, very pleasant and refreshing motives to leasten. It makes me thing to Govi whish I like very much, even if we can't classyfy this music in flamenco; it gives relaxing and cool time. How do you make your palmas background?

Fantastic Jon! I've heard you play a couple of these numbers before and I know it's not Flamenco, nor intended to be, but I don't think your tunes would be out of place on Canal Sur, Ondajerez or RTE actually...(from what I hear anyway!) Very Spanish...rather than "Spanishy" IMO... Great guitar tone on "Palomino", "Tico Tico" and "Sangre Gitano". A very listenable and mood provoking album, careful, sensitive arrangement and I think you will really have good commercial success with it. Sure, I'm a "Flamenco Puro" nut...but there are times,.. say when driving etc and in a mood where I really don't need Camaron pouring his heart out, but would like to hear something different that chills me out. I think you've done it there amigo! Don't be surprised if a BBC Producer phones you up about the "Palomino" track, after hearing it it an expensive wine-bar in London... I'm serious. Your tunes set a definite mood in a very short space of time..very direct. That's the good thing about getting your stuff out there.. You don't know who's CD player it's gonna end up on.. And you never know who's gonna be listening....

By the way the CD cover photo is brilliant!
I agree - good choice on the front cover. Strong work Jon, I like it alot. I have met my 'mail order' quota for this week, but next week is just a couple days away. I'll probably order then.

I downloaded Palomino, what a lovely clear sound, as if you were here in the Albaicin playing on the terrace as the sun set over the Alhambra. Delightful.
