RE: best solution for recording ones... (in reply to Stu)
I use the built in camera and microphone on my laptop.
I do also have good external microphones, A/D converters, software etc.. but for checking myself and sharing ideas I just use the laptop mic/camera and basic recording app on the computer. It's sounds ok, and is quick and easy.
It works for me to have minimal set up to distract from playing the guitar (like when I set up to record those recent baile accompaniment recordings- spent 90% of the time set up, 10% playing!)

I like your sound Ramzi, good setup! Though I do notice slight async with the video. Very tiny though.
I use my Samsung ultra phone, on tripod. The sound is not great but for a quick check its fine. For anything that I would put on youtube say I would plug my Zoom H4n pro into the phone, then sound then can be captured using Zoom as an interface. Zoom H4n takes 2 external mics - I use a pair of Rode NT1000. Zoom also can also do compression on the fly. Sometimes I postprocess the sound in the Reaper, if I want to add e.g. equalization or reverb (then best not to record with compression upfront). BTW you can see on older solera flamenca videos - they used exactly this setup (sometimes even the mic is the same).

Yeah, I have since figured out a solution to that problem, so all my newer videos are perfectly synchronized. My eyes and ears are deteriorating, so I can't notice things as well anymore. My wife pointed it out LOL so I found a technical solution that fixes the issue with accuracy down to one frame, so we're good now.
