Your small guitars have a robust sound (this one and that 1800's batman guitar). Very nice looking wood. I played 3 mcguire guitars recently. The first one I did not like as much but it was a negra with high action, the other two were Blancas and had excellent feel and sound. One was traditional stye the other a cutaway with electronics but both had good necks. He is getting better at it!

Where did you get to play three of them? Did you go to the guitar show?

Pedro Cortes jr. has two, he comes down my way to do gigs on occasion with Jose Moreno (dancer/singer/guitaris/cajon player), and Jose has one as well. I played with both those guys recently, Pedro this past weekend.

Oh that’s cool. When I get over my fear of being detained at the US port of entry and the lack of enough top level people at the FAA I might visit my relatives in DC. Then we could talk about the secret code of cante and guitar necks. Necks are interesting because they are so subtle, I think about the neck especially the space between the nut and about fret 5 constantly. Because that’s where the guitarist treads water, it’s important for that to feel as an extension of the player. Sometimes I cut that section of the neck two, three or four times until I’m happy.

I close my eyes and feel the back of the neck in
A sitting position and go back and forth between the cutting tools and the chair trying to get the neck just right.

As far as Jason, ideally if I were able to afford another makers guitar, I’d ask for #36 from him. I’d also get a Green, a Rey and a few others, but I’m stuck with myself for now and when these are shipped and dropped off I’m building guitar for myself before I get back into ‘the list’.

Finly had enough bandwidth out here in bush alaska to watch this video and **** that short girl growls like a junk yard bitch in heat!

Crazy how you got that much bottom end out of her.

Is the box deeper?

And ya, JM is killing it, I played a few of his early guitars, ha ha ha early…, last year at the LA guitar show. He played one of mine, said it was good, then told me to lower the action! Seems like he has found his groove that’s for sure. He is at ground zero there in so cal though for a lot of flamenco action compared to Japan or Alaska ;) I was supposed to go to the LA show last month but life tried to kick my ass so I didn’t make it :/

doesn't have to be fast,
should have some meat on the bones,
can be raw or well done,
as long as it doesn't sound like it's turning green on an elevator floor.
