Challenges
I've been thinking about the "old times" on the Foro while I was still very much learning what flamenco was all about. We regularly had challenges which helped many members engage, it was often challenging but it was always fun. We should resurrect these! We have much better tech available to us these days, any phone or webcam can record in decent quality.
We could do the beginner/intermediate/advanced level like we used to, learn and play falsetas in different palos (I'll be happy to provide tabs), compose falsetas ourselves, or accompany cante. I'd especially love a compositional challenge, to get those creative juices flowing!
In the thread “what are you working on” Norman shows tab of a bulería pulgar and challenged me to learn it sort of. I did and uploaded a short tutorial. He pointed out where I cheated a little, I call it artistic liberty lol. Anyway that is a great One if anybody wants to try it.
Bonus points for anyone who can sing Ricardo’s above post as a fandango.
Fandango de Gloria : Pulgar falseta… I made a demo video Of Norman’s pulgar falseta. He put the tabs up in the thread I changed a note and you can too. Practice until your thumb bleeds red!
