James May Engineering Ultra Tonic Pickup

Testing this pickup which is a modification on the K&K Pure Classic soundboard transducer (with four discs). The James May upgrade adds a fifth disc that is out of phase to get rid of the boominess and reduce feedback. Your thoughts?

RE: James May Engineering Ultra Toni... (in reply to rombsix

I got the "original" model (not the K&K upgrade as in the bourbon burst Godin guitar above) installed in my Jason McGuire negra.

I think this may be the best pickup I have ever tried in my entire life. I can't believe what I'm hearing... this is vodoo / black magic. This is the new world of pickups. Amazinggggggggggggg!

(It sounds ten times better in the room i.e. via an amp rather than plugged straight into my audio interface as you are listening to it on this video - but even directly into the audio interface, it still sounds legit)
