Hi all, wonder if anyone here has played Francisco Sanchez's guitar before. I am quite interested in the model "Francisco Sanchez 2016". I have done some research on this guitar but can only get few from the internet. Here is some of them.
I particularly like the harmony and balance of this guitar when playing multiple notes.
Owing to geographical constraint, I may not be able to try to guitar in person and can only have the chance to listen to the live demo via Skype...

So, did you end up gettign one? I am actually very seriously considering getting one. From what I have gathered, his guitars are really good, very andalucian sounding (if that makes sense).
Hi, avimuno, I got one eventually half a year ago. The guitar is a blanca spruce + cypress. I would say Francisco Sanchez's guitar is value for money and recommendable. Mr. Sanchez himself is also a nice person in which I chat with him occasionally via facebook messenger =)

Luciano got one of his guitars recently and he says it is the best guitar he's ever played in his whole life (and he's played all of Antonio Rey's instruments including Reyes, DeVoe, etc.).

Yes, but has Luciano played an Andalusian guitar???
I actually quickly asked Luciano what he thought of his new guitar, and from what I have gathered, it is a guitar I would very much like. I am currently talking measurements with Francisco... looks like I will be taking the plunge soon!

So.... I ended up placing my order last night. I actually gave Francisco a call with the help of a Spanish speaking friend of mine. He seems like a lovely person, and a very knowledgeable craftsman. He listened to everything I had to say then suggested a few custom measurements that would render the guitar more ergonomical for the big guy that I am. My guitar is looking like this:
- Spruce top - Cypress back and sides - 665mm scale - 54 nut width - 45mm string spacing between 1st and 6th string at the nut - 60mm string spacing at the bridge - Slightly higher pulsation then his normal build - He's also including 2 extra nut bones (3 in total then) for me to experiment with different action heights - French polish finish
It will be delivered at the end of March... I cannot wait!
Ive been looking for prices for his Blanca. The only info I can find is from Solera flamenco. would it be safe to assume that going through Francisco would be cheaper? I don't see any point in buying from Solera because I'm in the USA. Not like I can play the guitar and walk out the same day.
Hi JasonM, actually I bought my blanca from Solera Flamenca too. I am from Hong Kong and so I just could not try the guitar in person unless I travel to Spain and greet Francisco directly. But more importantly, I could not speak in Spanish while Francisco could not speak in English neither...
I think the advantage of getting from Solera is that Solera has asked proficient guitarists to try all the guitars before putting them available onto the internet. And therefore, the quality would be guaranteed.
Disclaimer: I don't have any association with Solera =)

It is! I have ordered my guitar directly from him and it was around 20% cheaper. The con is that you have to wait a little more, the pro is that you can order a guitar with your exact specifications (although you can do that through Jordi as well).
Mine will be delivered at the end of the month, beginning of May the latest. Francisco has sent me some pictures of the building process, it's nice to follow every step like that. He's a really nice guy to interact with as well, very knowledgeable about guitars which is always reassuring when ordering one. He does not have a website, but you can get in touch with him via Facebook or via his email address (send me a PM and I'll forward it for you).
