This is one of my favorite albums and I really admire the toque of Serrano. I'm currently TRYING to lean the solea from this album. I'm studying the Serrano Encuentro video with has really been a big help.

I like the bulería, the last one, which you can get on tab as well. I´m playing things from this and a few other pieces.

I never listen to the album though. It´s a bit boring IMHO. I find his playing a bit "stiff" as opposed to "loose"

The tremolo from the solea Mi Camino I think is one of the BEST solea tremolos out there...

Even if the thread is old. I made different experiences with his music.

I also own his album and also his books...but most of his stuff is very boring IMO.. There is missing the kick ass part IMO.

Well,..but he has some nice compositions yes. His granaina is very beautiful and his alegrias has some very nice llamadas. And except some picados his music is very good stuff to learn for intermediate players. You can have easily a nice repertoire, all playable. Thats the good part. When you only try to learn the most difficult stuff from Paco, Canizares, Tomatito and so on..and cant really make it..then I think its much better to stick with serrano. You will have way more fun also without a really rocking bulerias..

It's also one of my favourites, I'm listening to it from time to time and never get tired of it. Not the most complicated compositions, but to me one of the most beautiful.
e.g. the tremolos: not very fast but very even and clean sound.
But unfortunately he doesn't play many other compostions - or does someone know about other stuff of him?

btw: look at his hand positions in his playing on encuentro or youtube, he forces himself to have the most perfect...

Does that mean I wasnt sexy before?

Exactly. His hands look cramped into the "stereotypic right" position which does NOT exist coz everybody is different.
