I have a spruce double top peg-head also, but recently found to rarely playing it in favor of my other guitars. My Glenn produces very clean and powerful tone, but to my liking it lacks personality somehow.

He and Jason McGuire were big advocates, due to heavy golpes they found the double top reinforcement was essential.
