Hello Foro Flamenco,
Did Paco de Lucia and Vicente Amigo performed together? Is there a video out there on the Internet where they playing at concert together?
If they never did, does anyone here know why they didn't performed together?
Regards,
Jordan Marcio
On the album called Vivencias Imaginadas, they performed a duet buleria. Most likely a lot was laid down and then Paco was probably brought in to play along to the recording. I doubt they played it live in the studio together, but it is possible. Outside of this performance I am not aware of any live or TV spots. Not unlike his duets with Manolo Sanlucar, if it did exist as per spanish TV, it would have been playback miming to the record. I vaguely remember seeing tracks from Vicente's album done that way and it was Vicente alone. PDL appeared with other guitarists numerous times on album but not live, including Moraito, Tomatito, Enrique de Melchor etc. Live (video or in concert stage) I have only seen Paco with Ramon, Canizares, Niño josele, his nephews, and the trio of course.

Viejín's biog. says he toured with Paco, "In the 90’s he developed a close friendship with Paco de Lucía, and in 1998 the two guitarists did a series of tours in Spain and South America." (ref. here: http://www.flamencolive.com/html/viejin_biog_i.htm)

Sorry I should have said "captured live" meaning either on TV or a filmed concert. I know he played with them but nothing to watch or listen to has turned up other than studio work. Forgot to add his appearances numerous times with his friend Carlos Rebato and also once with Santana, and Steve Morse joined a trio tour.
