Bravo, Paco! In my opinion, Paco Cepero's early gigs accompanying cantaores were superb. He was also great in his later CD "Morrongo," in which he accompanied the cantaor Santiago Donday.

Agreed! Ever since I saw him accompanying Turronero por bulerías I have been a fan. Eventually my friend Caracol introduced me to him in the Plaza de Toros del Puerto. He had an abono in Barrera Sombra, mine was in Tendido Sol
I have a tv recording of him accompanying El Lebrijano with Soleares and bulerias which belongs to my all time favorites (never found that specific recording on youtube, it starts with El Lebrijano mentioning their names and announcing the 2 pieces they are going to perform after which they are performed). His approach in that recording to start a falseta by bringing you into a totally different atmosphere straight away, then burst out in a bombastic climax fallowed by going back to "silence" is superb.

In my opinion Paco Cepero has been vastly underrated compared to some of the flamenco guitarists who have made their name playing the international circuit.
