Interview with Pepe Habichuela and J...

Hello, friends.
I know that there are a lot of guitar players here and I thought you might be interested in this:
This friday afternoon I'll be able to interview Pepe Habichuela and Josemi Carmona before a show, here in Spain.

If you want me to ask them any specific question or you have any request, I'll try to pass the questions over to them.
I'll meet them on friday afternoon (5 p.m. Spanish time).
Sorry for the short notice but I didn't have any confirmation until now.

Lucky man!

I don't know whether they're still involved in teaching and supervising at that new school in Madrid, Uflamenco (they were last year) but I'd be interested to know how that's going.

I suppose getting their thoughts on the second anniversary of Pdl's death would be time-appropriate (though perhaps not the kind of question to ask before a show ).

Do they want to come and jam at my place in Lucero after the show? I've got homemade cookies and colacao

To Pepe: why rasgueado with i & m instead of i & a fingers? And how the hell does he get it to sound so good?

Very cool. How about ask him about rising talent & tomorrow's stars, which young artists (Cante, baille, toque) impress him the most.

Edit: and yesterday's stars, who of the old school does he still get off on when he hears / watches those old recordings.

Funny thing is that I always practiced both and alternate between them without a noticeable gap. After much practicing I realized that's not a "thing they do" but I kept doing it anyway.

Ha, the double meanings never crossed my mind, but now you mention, "you get off more on the new school or old school?"

Ah chucks too late....

Hello, friends, this is what's happened:

THE BAD NEWS: The day before the show I received a phone call. 'Hi, this is Josemi Carmona (WTF!) I'm sorry, my manager scheduled an interview, but before the show I prefer to be focused, do the soundcheck and also some rehearsal. We'll do it some other day, I'm very sorry".

THE GOOD NEWS: I decided to wait for him after the show. There were many people asking for an autograph, and some family asking him to leave soon, but I could talk to him for a moment, ask him a couple of my questions and another couple of your questions.

WHEN: that very brief interview will be included in the second episode of my new podcast (the first one will be aired tomorrow, in that episode I interview another guitar player: Javier Conde)

THE FUTURE: this week I'll be able to interview the guitar player Tino Van der Sar. This will be a more relaxed conversation and more of your questions coul be included if you send me some of them

Thanks for your support.

I'm sorry, Jim Kirby, I don't have a computer and I haven't seen the messages in a while.
My podcast wil be available very soon, I'm working on it, but without a computer it's not easy.

My previous impression from andalucians that they don't have a very strong word seems to be supported by this.

What about Pepe?
