Other than flamenco I basically only listen to death/thrash metal so maybe I'm just a fan of screaming.
The word romantic just sounds so cheesy to me.....like bad pick up lines and men with too much gold and slicked comb overs....

That's just noise, how can you appreciate flamenco to it's full extent when you have such low musical standards?

Sure. In reverse order.

The audio is captured by an Iphone 6 I believe. She was sitting infront of the ceiling mounted stage monitors, the main out was actually behind her....so she was sandwiched between the backs of two hanging speakers. I think they were pretty crappy JBLs...they were houses and we share with DJ and every week it's a different eq/levels. Pain in the butt. We prefer our own speakers (QSC K12 or combo with EVs), but on this gig it was run and plug in our mixer.

The board is old Behringer PMX3000 powered mixer, but I send the stereo main2 (un amped) lines to the house. Both guitars are pretty flat on the board, I put a touch of bass on mine.

The guitar is 1999 FCWE Gipsy Kings Cordoba, Fishman prefix pro .... no mic only piezo. Where you normally have the "blender" slider it is called "brilliance" which puts super high end.....good for dead strings actually. But I keep the whole thing flat. In some situations with live drums or other wise loud volume, to cut through I only add a touch of mids to keep my guitar's voice cutting through the mix.

La Bella 820 strings is the last component. Hope that helps.

So basically, everything is flat and your using a Fishman under saddle. Not even the mic.

And I'm dragging around mics, blenders and using a dual source pickup to boot.

haha!
my previous post was done on iphone where I finished with 2 emojii (which are not visible on a computer):
the cringing "ouch" face, with the pistol pointed to the side of the head.

I.e. - shoot myself in the head

Which , when it comes to flamenco, might be an emoticon worth having on this foro! :)

This may sound like a silky question Ricardo, but... Do you actually practice playing standing up? If so, do you consciously make adjustments with your right hand. I've tried sporadically playing standing up and I sound and play (technically) worse than usual and I suck enough to begin with. Lol. Sitting down to play seems just so much easier, also my lower back kills after about 30 mins, as I've noticed I arch my back too much to push the guitar forward. And yes I use a strap.

LOL!! As a greasy kid with Marshall amp that went 20 ("That's 9 more i'n't it?") it was my life dream to head to LA to check out the metal scene there - so many great bands!!! One of my biggest regrets is that once I was hooked on LA thrash I passed by on the chance to see Maiden when they played on their Seventh Son tour. It would be killer irony to catch the Irons in LA

How hard to play? Any harder than Steve Harris is probable unnecessary

no...strap height may be an issue. The alzapua on that video is a little awkward as it starts on the treble strings and you want feel the guitar higher up, but I got used to it and angle the neck up a bit. I tend to find the back to be straighter when standing than sitting. Perhaps you lean your head over the fingerboard (looking at hands) too much? Try practicing in front of a mirror. I play so many gigs that I don't need to practice playing standing. At home I only practice when sitting...unless I am like walking around the house doing some other chores so I will use the strap on guitar and carry it around.
