Last saturday we did a small concert with the students of la escuela de cante to celebrate the opening of our new building of our peña flamenca "La union del cante". It was a great day and I played for 4 different singers! We did Tientos-Tangos, Soleá de Alcala, Malagueñas de la trini con Abandolaos and Cantiñas. Local television was there and we made it to the news!!

Congratulations!
Funny details:
1- you're "tapping" the wrong foot. 2- the Pena's sign is a bit lop-sided. (when you are accompanying) - it could benefit from a 5 to 10 degree counter-clockwise rotation.

Thanks everyone!! @Ramzi The microphone stand was really crappy and small! So to make sure the mic didnt crash into my strings while playing I had to secure it with my right leg, and I couldn't use my left foot to tap along because the base of the stand was exactly where my left foot was I still have to get used to play with a mic... You have to sit really still, if sound the volume decreases a lot! I move around a lot and switch position when I play. Guess I'll need to buy myself one of those Carlos amplification wich you just stick on the guitar without drilling any holes in the guitar. We still have a lot of work to do in the new peña, like putting up all the pictures and some plants on stage and everything. It will be ready before the summer! When I've got some time I'll upload some pictures and videos! Rancapino Chico will be acting in there soon So I record some nice stuff for everyone!!

Cristina,
Both of them are good friends of mine!! We meet at least every friday cuando hay juerga en la peña!! Paco is playing the guitar better everyday, and Ramon as you probably know is like a walking encyclopedia of cante The peña is open every day, because of the new and much better location it's open now from 10:00 - 16:00 de la mañana y 20:00 - hasta q se va el ultimo. So do you live close to Mijas then? Where do you know them from? If u are nearby let me know and we can meet at the peña!!
Saludos
Si quieres contactar conmigo, Paco o Ramon, estoy en el FB! (Koen Klinkhamer)

Yes it is!! We visited La peña Juanito Villar last september! Where you there??
Yes. I was there con mi mujer. I am the only guiri who is socio de la Peña . We were thinking of not going to Mijas because it is 3.5 hours in the bus, but vamos a ver!

qué buenas noticias de la peña.
No, I'm not living in Andalucía, soy vienesa. - a ver, si los dos se acuerdan de mi. p.f. diles muchos recuerdos de mi parte. I knew Paco from another forum years ago (when he still was a beginner), Ramón is especially in my heart - heard him sing in an encuentro de guitarristas en Sevilla y tomamos un anisíto después. Canta de verdad - needs no more words. un abrazo
