Very toppy isn't it?
Presumably that's his Carlos Juan VIP system, those systems are really expensive, but even though he's miked up as well that's a very pingy ultra bright sound.

I guess that they only used the piezo signal for the tv show to minimize the risk of feedback....one can barely hear any reverb...it sounds as dry as a dingo's donger. But his playing is absolutely stunning !

Interesting expression , I must remember that one.
The UST by itself only wouldn't pick up the golpes like that - the VIP has an internal mic as I recall, so we are hearing that and/or the external mic as well as the UST.
Also, FWIW pretty sure the Carlos UST isn't piezo based.

This recording is particularly bright, but in my experience, it's not unrepresentative of Vicente's typical live sound. A lot of guys seem to go for this bright, pingy, over-reverb'd live sound. I don't like it at all. Then again, thousands of people aren't flocking to see me perform all over the world, so maybe he knows something I don't.

Maybe you would like to use this to grab the raw unconverted video before they pull it out again (It's 1,04GB but it's pretty fast). From what I remember, this version of the video has even better quality than the one that was on yt before.

Again the crappy piezo sound. What is this? It's 2015 for God's sake. Recording engineers and creative editors really can't hear ugly from pretty sound? There's a normal mic in front of the guitar. Bleed at least a bit from that mic no???? Or just use the signal from there or in case of this fancy video recording (which is worth almost nothing because of the ugly guitar sound), put another mic that is not used for the live sound, just for the recording. Such a shame really
I will download it to be able to take the sound and put a bit of room on it and an eq to take the trebly bzbzbz out. It will affect the cante as well thou
